NY Woman Uses Dating Site to Get Over $1200 In Free Meals

A New York woman is being scrutinized and praised after people learned that she used a dating website to obtain $1,200 a month in free meals.

According to Business Insider, 23-year-old Jessica Sporty was deep in debt. Sporty had difficulties living on her $45,000 annual salary after spending nearly $1,500 a month in rent, paying her credit card bill, and buying food.

So she hatched up a plan and signed up with the popular online dating site Match.com so she could quickly go on five dates a week. Sporty even maintained a spreadsheet with detailed information on each of her dates, limiting each guy to a maximum of five.

Dates took Sporty to high-end New York restaurants, and one of her dates even bought her a $200 bottle of champagne.

“Before I barely had enough money to pay for food,” said Sporty. “After using Match.com I found I wasn’t going into debt anymore.”

-snip-

As of today, Sporty is no longer on the dating website as she is currently in a relationship and most likely freeloading off her new beau.

“It was exhausting,” she said. “I needed my sleep and I was done playing the game.”

Hello! It’s cold today, by our standards. I defrosted the top-loading freezer over the last couple of days, and Bill and Tom have taken it outside to drain.

Nope!
The weekendmeans that I have ot deal with truck drivers.
And they often refuse to follow instructions.
Or insist that their GPS is correct and I’m not.

I have children with the same sort of reasoning problems.

It’s annoying in children, it’s terrifying in a truck driver hauling hazmat on our highways.
Even better when they look at the ‘No Trucks’ sign and then drive right past it, then acknowledge that they saw it but insist that I have to let them in because after all “They’re there.”
You should hear the names I get called when I tell them, “Nope. Back up. Get out of my driveway. Now.”

And from this, we built a great civilization. Dunno how, though.

Schools no longer teach critical thinking skills.
It’s all about ‘how you feel’ these days.
Heck, I had teachers assign us book reports where we had to draw conclusions.
And then the teacher would supply us with a pre-ordained conclusion.
Our forbears would be horrified.

[But with certain retreads posting threads just to get zotted, we’ve had to tighten our criteria.]

Sounds like youall have to search for your threads. Don’t take over Perry’s, he’s been abused enough, lolol.
Wondering why youall never just started your own little ‘section’ and keep it running there?

You're going to make a great curmudgeon.

Or is my timing off?

We had an Undead Thread that ran 60,000+ posts, and another that went into the 30,000’s, but it created a discontinuity in FR’s program, wreaking havoc on the space-time continuum. Imagine responding to a post, and then finding that the post you responded to was posted hours after your response. It was too weird, even for us.

So we formed the plan of moving monthly, which keeps us from running up too many posts, and also allows us to meet new people and explore new topics.

Got any plans for the weekend, Bob? I’m hoping to do “lying in sunbeams with catz.”

Wow, glad you clued me in on all that. Responding to future posts can create a time warp of huge consequences!!

Hoping all your kids are well, I check in to view new pictures from time to time, lol.

I don't know what my plans are; my wife hasn't told me yet.

*Snare drum*

Well, I have both Saturday and Sunday to get things done, but chances are not much will be accomplished. I have a bathroom to gut and remodel, a roof to repair, electric lines and plumbing to re-route, and vents to expel.

Then there's all the ignored work outside that has not been tsunamied away.

You weren't by any chance offering an alternative, were you? Stop down at your house and watch the critters consume each other?

Intercept three animal crates at the airport, two of which have children in them?

Everyone’s fine here. Anoreth is home for the weekend. She graduates from Gunnery school next Friday. My husband just left with a batch of kids to go ice skating with the Cub Scouts.

I could ship you Bill and Tom to work on your construction projects, but they’d probably just stand around and roll their eyes, and then expect you to feed them.

Glad Anoreth is home, Christmas time at your house has to be a fun time. I have 4 grown children and we have a blast when they all come.

[My husband just left with a batch of kids]

Lol, that’s cute - ‘a batch of kids’.

That was so I didn't have to strain my brain remembering which ones ;-). I can hear Frank and Vlad watching "Dora the Explorer" in the living room - conscientiously repeating their Spanish words - so I know they're here. And Anoreth and Bill just turned up with takeout.

Anoreth will be back next weekend and then home through Christmas. One of my church friends who lives nearby has offered a spare bedroom, so she may "room out" instead of crowding in here for two weeks. Then she'll go back to Cape May to be a small-arms instructor for the recruits. All those young minds to warp mold, just like her brothers' ...

Feeding them I could accomplish.

They haven’t lived until they’ve eaten Ann’s Foot-Long Hot Dogs, and the requisite old-fashioned milk shakes to go along with them.

It’s what keeps me going.
