It's such a beautiful song.

Ah...the beauty of such memories. High school when we were there was a great experience (at least for me). Doesn't seem so these days!

When I fall asleep and don’t even realize that I’m sleepy like that, it just seems funny. Its great sleep even though sitting up. I had a good nap this afternoon, too. Meg and I both love our naps. Do you take a nap sometimes like we do?

Today was complete relaxation. After I got this downstairs cleaned up and polished the dining room table, I was ready to do as I pleased......which was NOTHING. LOL!!

Sounds like a great deal to me. My kids, including daughter in law, help me with different things. One son gets the stuff down from the attic and helps me get the tree up. Its pre-lit and beautiful but I put a lot of ornaments on it because it makes the tree. He and I decorate all the windows and front and back porch. A couple of years ago he put most of my lights on remote control so its easy at night to cut everything off and I love that part of it.

The other son will help me take it all down and put it away.

The daughter in law tells me what the older kids and the younger ones, too, like and sometimes she gets it for me and I pay her. She also comes a day or so before Christmas and helps me wrap and/or bag the gifts. I’m so grateful for their help as I have a few health problems like everyone else does. That happens as we get older. A few of us escape it but not many. But, I’m thankful for WHAT I CAN DO. And I’m very thankful that my kids do love me!

I don't nap simply because it ruins my night sleep. I only sleep about 5 hrs a night and a nap would kill it!

Have you ever made Baklava? It isn't hard to do and is very tasty. There's many different recipes out there and not all of them use phyllo dough. I don't use it as it dries out so quick. I use crescent rolls for mine.

Doing NOTHING is always a great kinda day! lol

Gosh, I've never thought of making Baklava. Do you think its just as good with the crescent rolls? The phyllo dough is so thin and I notice when the chefs use it on t.v., they keep it covered as they go with damp towels. You are the first person to tell me they can make Baklava. Its a delicious and rich dessert. Yes, I feel like I may have to have some before this week is over.

Maybe sometime you can Freepmail to me the way to make it. Is it hard to do?? I've made home made cream puffs before and I was very young when I did it. I just followed the recipe. (It impressed my husband as I was a younger cook then.) LOL!

Not hard to do at all. However it does take a good amount of chopped walnuts. I’ll send you my recipe and you can decide if you want to make it or buy some. It makes a 9x13 pan but you could use only half the crescent rolls and make an 8x8.

I certainly would appreciate that. Could I use the Phyllo dough if I thought I could with that same recipe? I may use what you do since you say its so good! Yes, I could do half unless I was having company or something like that. And I don’t have a lot of company unless I have my kids, etc. I don’t have them as often as I once did.

I guess I will be signing off for now. I need to check my email before I close down for the night. See you tomorrow! Sweet dreams!

Yes, you can use the phyllo if you want to. It’s just such a big hassle is my reason for not using it. I’m lazy...lol.

Sorry...I did not see it. But, I just went and read it. I'm sure he is being served lovely fruitcake as we speak! :)

Real good fruitcake is not an easy task. I've never cared for it but those who do make it have my respect. My grandmother made great numbers of them for her friends this time of year. Takes time and love to do it.

You mentioned making cream puffs...I used to make cream puffs and eclairs all the time. Haven't done that in a number of years. They aren't that hard to do but are a little time consuming AND I really don't need all those calories...lol!
