Must have been very special, you being so far from home AND a newlywed. My brother was a newlywed as well and was in Japan and other places at that time. So long ago but really doesn't seem to be that long when I think about it. Thank you for your honorable service!

Not being around much this week, how did your blood test go on Monday? Platelets back to, or close to, normal? Are you feeling OK?

Cats are great ... so are dogs in differing ways. Cats and dogs comfort, entertain, and need us, as we need them.

I tell my cats to guard the house and if anyone breaks in ... to trip them. They are very good at tripping. LOL!

The two with front claws, do not have the run of the house when I am not there, or I would tell them to jump on a strange intruders back.!!! Now when the dog is there without me, a 8 lb poodle, I tell him to make a great noise and growl and bark so no one will try to get him. I do love them. It is all in fun.

Got the platelets raised close to normal but still shy of the 140 minimum. Treatment was postponed til next week (Thurs) if my numbers are good.

Thanks for the Merry Christmas and New Year wishes. Gonna be a real busy 3 day weekend for our families.

I assume that's 140k? When my son was young and was having chemo, at one point his count went down to 7,500. Thought the doc was going to have a coronary..lol. But, doc survived (only to take his own life) and the son is doing well these days however, his count stays around 85k. As long as he never sustains a head injury he should be OK! Prayers yours goes to at least the minimum!

Busy is good, to a point. Just don't over do it! :)
