MONROE, Ore. -- The thing to do if a squirrel runs up your leg is probably not to aim a .22-caliber rifle at it.
A Benton County, Ore., sheriff's officer says a 36-year-old Monroe man told deputies he was startled by a squirrel that ran up his left leg so he fired at it but hit his foot instead.

The squirrel probably laughed at him or yelled at him afterward. I kicked a rather aggressive red squirrel one out of the bird feeder and window screen and he climbed up a tree and started chirping at me. Anyone have fried squirrel?
When I was at MSU and there was a parklike area with a ton of squirrels with no fear of people. I stopped to take a look and a gray one jumped on my leg. Luckily I was wearing long pants.

Orrrrrrr...he accidently shot himself....and *then* concocted the squirrel story, after cops got involved. That was my first thought!
