Today marks the 11th Anniversary of my first sign on to FR.
I had lurked for about a month around the election of 2000 before finally registering for an account--and I haven't left since.
This is my first stop in the morning, and last at night. It's where I can get up-to-the-minute news, and commentary from people who I trust, even though we don't always agree.
Thank you to all who make this possible!

Believe it or not I used one of those with an old black and white TV and cassette tape to write a program that shaved about $5,000/year worth of time off of a routine lab calculation we used to run manually at a foundry sand mill back in the early 80’s.

Congratulations....
Aug 18, 1998 was my original signin date ....under a different Handle,.
Nov 11 , 2000 was the date under my current handle.

I didn’t have any io devices so I used it to learn Basic. Of course when I turned it off all data was gone. All 1K of it. It taught me alot for $29. I could draw a circle! If then else goto.

I had my 6th on the 21st. It should be easy to remember because it’s also our wedding anniversary. I remembered the wedding anniversary, but not this one. At least I’m safe at home...
