Traditionally, the courts have held that wrongful death or injury of a dog or other animal was essentially no different than damages to other property. Earlier this month, an appeals court in a Texas case held that a suit could proceed adding sentimental value to wrongful loss of a pet.

Things could get interesting...it may actually become profitable to have the cops shoot your dog.

People that love their pets - it won’t matter how much money they get, they’d rather have their pet alive.
