“Man, the dislike for this guy is ridiculous. I am not a huge fan of all his “religiosity”, but come on, he works hard, clean living, and seems like a good guy. I guess the NFL doesn’t need guys like that LMAO. This just shows what morons most Americans are, they celebrate guys like Plexico Buress and Ben Rothlisberger but hate and make fun of Tebow, give me a break, I’ll take him over any of these other overpaid thugs.”

Great post. I am a Crimson Tide fan and even I like Tebow.

Not only are they missionaries, but his mom was pressured to abort Tebow because she was suffering some illness during her pregnancy...

She refused to abort.

I’d love to see Tebow be a successful QB in the NFL - Hall of Fame, Super Bowl, whole nine yards...But the fact is he could be a total failure as an NFL QB and he’d still be a success as long as he holds to his faith and principles.

The post game interview was amazing.  They asked him about everything and he answered openly and honestly.

It was the best sports or political interview I have ever seen.

I’m not sure I’d call that kicking butt. He is interesting to watch, his throws are wobbly and off target, his pre-snap reads are basically non-existent, and yet he keeps on winning.

You can tell by how rarely he audibles away from plays that will be bad because of the defense. If the play you’ve got called is a run to the near weak side and you see the weak side LB or safety creeping to the line you know they’re blitzing right at your run and your RB is doomed. And teams have an easy audible that says to reverse it, same play but strong side o-line block accordingly, even when coaches don’t trust their QB enough to give him a full rack of audibles they have that one. But you don’t see Tebow moving them out of the play, you can see his opponent showing blitz and Tebow not making any change and the run goes right into it.

Really we don’t see him doing much of anything at the line. And that’s re-enforced by them putting in an option offense, option offenses are basically post snap reads. They’re moving decisions that at the pro-level are generally made earlier to later.

The good news for him is the Broncos got a pretty cush schedule down the stretch. They got nothing but bad teams or hot and cold teams down the stretch. 3-3 is a gimme, 4-2 highly achievable. That puts them in the playoffs. Which either makes him solid trade bait, or gives them an off season to teach him some more. He’s a good kid, hard not to root for him, but he can be kind of painful to watch. Hopefully he’ll just get better.

I said that in response to another poster...who said Tebow
“can’t be a qb”....I say he can be a qb...just like Walker is maybe the best receiver out there and there are darn good black qbs as well....

please re read....

lol Well feel free to do so, however ... Tebow can not pass. He has created a pretty darned good running game that will, barely, beat marginal teams that are not prepared. There isn’t a soul out there who thinks he can pass. It’s why you call for only 8 passes a game ... in the NFL!

He is being terribly misused. Let him run for Heaven’s sake. But it is not limiting to say he doesn’t have the skill to be an NFL QB. No one thinks he does. This isn’t at all picking on Tebow. Like I said, it’s a waste of talent. They will never get to the SB, or win a playoff game (if they get there) with him.

And I’ve never heard the white boys as wide-receivers thing. New one on me.

Again, I am not at all picking on Tebow any more than I would be picking on a Hall of Fame tight end saying ... why are they playing him at QB?

My wife and I watched the game on the “Tebowvision” set last night. We both cheered when Tim scrambled into the endzone from 20 yards out with under a minute left.

I absolutely love this guy. Yeah, he’s not a natural polished quarterback, but he has heart and knows how to win!

I’ve been a Steelers fan since birth, but I’m really rooting for this kid to succeed. Ok, he’s already succeeded, but I’m really rooting for him to have a long successful career in the NFL before continuing with his life’s work.

I wonder if wearing a #15 Tebow Steelers custom jersey would seem weird? It would show support this wonderful young man, and still show support for my favorite team as well. Hmmmmm....

I agree with you.

All the hype surrounding the long TD drive at the end of the game has effectively masked the mediocrity of Denver's offense as well as the ineptitude of the Jets' offense.

Let's wait until Tebow goes out and passes for 300 yards and throws 3 TD passes in a 34-17 victory over a solid opponent. I think he's a tremendous athlete and a real stand-up guy, but he's not a "real" NFL quarterback by any stretch.

And then Carter and Irvin said “I don’t know if he is for real”. They can’t just take an honest man at face value. They think everybody has an angle and are baffled by a straight shooter.

Tebow is still pretty raw and needs a lot of coaching and learning. By taking snaps, he is giving his coaches a lot of film to teach him from. Who knows if he will learn, but he certainly is a strong athletic talent who could excel in the NFL. My main concern for Tebow is his lack of accuracy. You can’t teach accuracy. But he has heart, works hard, and listens. I think he has a lot of upside and will be a solid NFL quarterback in a few years but who knows?

I think most of his inaccuracy is timing. He doesn’t understand where the receiver is going to be when the ball gets there. Of course given the way his ball flies you can see part of the problem is there’s no way to know how fast the ball is getting to where he’s throwing it. He’s got a lot of potential but if there isn’t dramatic improvement he’s going to need to switch. He’s got the skills to be a great RB who throws the occasional gadget play pass. I’d hate to see him go down the Kordell Stewart path, Stewart could have been a great possession receiver with some gadget time in as RB and QB, but he thought he was a QB and that insistence cut his career short.

He keeps them in the game and then gets the win in the end.

I respect and admire Tebow for his tenacity and "will to win". However, I submit that it's the very underrated Denver defense that has kept them in these games in order to put the rather pathetic offense in position to have a chance to pull it out.

Look at last nights game. Until the last drive which was a beauty, the offense had only generated a field goal the whole game since the defense got the pick 6 earlier.

Denver's defense should be the story here.

Is that the same defense Denver had in the first five games?

Yeah, the kid has heart, something they can’t understand. Watch Tebow, he’s a winner, even if the retired jocks have their backs up.
