A majority of Democrats52 percentsay they seldom or never go to church, according to Gallup data published Monday.
That result is based on Gallups daily tracking polls conducted between June 1 and Aug. 31 of this year.
In addition to the 52 percent of Democrats who told Gallup they seldom or never go to church, another 20 percent said they go to church nearly weekly or monthly, and 27 percent said they go weekly.
On Oct. 28, Gallup reported that its daily tracking polls between June 1 and Aug. 31 showed that 38 percent of Republicans said they seldom or never go to church, while 21 percent said they go to church nearly weekly or monthly, and 40 percent said they go weekly.
When asked by Gallup what their religious denomination was, 19 percent of Democrats said they had none, while 9 percent of Republicans said they belonged to no religious denomination.
Democrats are less religious than the typical American and Republicans are more religous, according to Gallups data. Overall, 15 percent of Americans told Gallup they had no religious denomination. Also, overall, 46 percent of Americans told Gallup they seldom or never went to church, while 20 percent said they went to church nearly weekly or monthly, and 33 percent said they went weekly.
Gallup defines Democrats in its polling analysis as those who either identify as Democrats or who identify as independents but say they lean toward the Democratic Party. Similarly, it defines Republicans as "those who either identify as Republicans, or who identify as independents but say they lean toward the Republican Party.
Ping for later
Secularists with no belief in a being more supreme than themselves... yep, that fits!
These leftists prefer to worship big government, obama and algore over God.
There are many pro-abortion, pro-obama, pro-sexual revolution Dems in my church. We welcome all sinners (sigh).
Democrats: the godless obsessed with playing God....
Why should they? Their god is government. You don't worship government in church.
Beliefs belong in church.
Not really. It is the trend of the time.
More than half of Catholics don’t go to church either and voted for Obama.
I personally know quite a few, myself.
liberalism is their church, cloward and piven their ministers.
Ok, I'll be the first to cry BS.
Does this mean that 48% of the Democrats in the USA are regular Church goers? I'd dare say that there aren't 48% Republicans that regularily go to church, if there were that many church-goers - the churches would be prospering. The fact remains, they aren't.
You have to wonder about Democrats, I think their God is Planned Parenthood.
I suspect those who say they go weekly, or monthly..about 47% in total, are ethnic, the so-called Reagan Democrats..and they will increasingly be turned off by the hatred that secular Dems show towards any display of faith..
Democratic breakdown:
52% Seldom or never go to church
8% Go to Temple
4% Go to Friday prayers
18% Are twice-a-year Catholics
8% Are multi-denominational protestants in the Church of Whatever Makes Me Feel Better
Completely unexpected headline of the day...NOT!
That was an entirely predictable poll. The remaining Democrats occasionally go to church to con everyone into thinking they are good.
A correct understanding of sheeperals' motivations goes a long way to understanding why they do what they do, and to blunting their destructive tendencies.
A sheeperal's primary driving motivation is to justify TO THEMSELVES that they are "a good person". This is why they never look at the actual results of their policy choices.
figures.

I know one, she teaches Sunday school, loves Obama, loves Obamacare, loves homosexuality and abortion. People like this give a bad name to Christianity and Catholicism.
