Johnn, I love this poem and your graphic, too, Meg!

"A tricolor black bird sings its song
in a voice as clear as the early dawn
another answers from the miller’s lawn
in a sweet voiced tune that echoes long"

The Most Caring Child

Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry.”

(Leo Buscaglia)

Blue bird of happiness ...

When my daughter moved into an area where people could have horses, the neighbor down the street met her and told her she was bringing her a blue bird house. The neighbor said it was her way to welcome people to the neighborhood. Great idea.

I do not understand how a bird chooses a nesting spot. Having lived in Oklahoma for much of my life. I thought I was familiar with most things of Oklahoma. There was a hardware store going out of business ... and there was an oriole feeder on sale. Now I had grown up in Oklahoma and had never seen an oriole, to my knowledge. So I bought it, took it home and hung it from a rather low hanging branch. Lo and behold I looked out the window a couple of days later and there was an oriole at the feeder. I had looked it up ... so I would know how it would look. Amazing to me. Apparently they were there all the time ... unseen. Our world is filled with many wonders, large and infinitesimal. We serve an extraordinary, magnificent God of Creation.

Thank Thee LORD for thy Great Goodness.

One of the best intros is ‘ I'm a servant of the most high God , does anyone here need prayer, or do you need prayer?

Today with such watered down services in many churches, (not included in the messages these days ... Are sins, what is evil in today's world, abortion, cheating, ling, stealing, infidelity, homosexuality, living together before marriage, etc, the message of the cross, the blood, the call to saving grace, little is said about the Holy Spirit, and surrendering to our Lord and Savior and making Him Lord of our life.)

So who are we,? Who did we become? How were we taught? Was it TRUTH? It is a muddle.
New age religion, worship mother earth, Gaia, ... many religions the opposite of the GOSPEL. People pick and chose often for convenience sake and more freedom to do anything they wish unfettered.

There was a girl on TV saying "Christ died for our sins ... I might as well do some" (sins).

God help us all, in Jesus name amen.

Do not delete this, the music is great! This was filmed in Iraq at a USO tour of a US Marine Base. Play it and spread it to every single person you know... cause you won’t see it on the news.

OMG ... beautiful!!! Thank you.

My screen is bleary and I have a lump in my throat. How I wish we could personally thank each member of our military. May God Bless and Protect them.

I will get some care packages in the mail this week. Trying to do something for these brave young people at Christmas.

I am trying to forget it!

This is particularly egregious to me, as I marched with Rev Martin Luther King in Boston when I was barely 15 years old. To see the “Content of Character” totally disregarded in favor of skin color was devastating to someone who grew up in the Civil Rights Movement.

And to see the devastation of Our National Treasures was just plain disgusting!
