For sure, "The Exorcist" is on the list. Also, "Rosemary's Baby", one of the all time scariest movies ever.
I suppose if I really wanted to get scared, I could cue up a bunch of Progressive Commercials with that Flo dame. She is definitely related to the folks in "Night of the Living Dead"
Blair Witch Project? (That movie is scary, but they really didn't have any good reason to go down the profanity route so much...) Thumbs DOWN!!
I'm all ears!!
all depends
if you like the old Universal Classics any of those are a hoot
the hammer films from the 60 to early 80s are also great fun
for bonafide scary films i would choose The Changeling with George C Scott
i watch as many horror flicks as i can in October but reserve Halloween and Halloween 2 for the day before and day of Halloween depending on where it falls
Barak, is that you?
But seriously - how about "Misery."
Salem’s Lot.Just bought it on VHS.
Japanese do creepy really well. Try ‘The Ring’.
Dracula with Boris Carloff or Bela Lugosi!
Go see “The Thing” in the theaters right now. This is a well made pre-quel to John Carpenter’s 1982 classic.
And Far far better than II.
Creepshow/Grossly FUNNY!
Pumpkin Head
For me it was “The Ring”.
Prepare to be SPOOKED!
The Others is a 2001 psychological horror film by the Spanish-Chilean director Alejandro Amenábar, starring Nicole Kidman. It is inspired partly by the novella The Turn of the Screw.[2] It won eight Goya Awards, including awards for Best Film and Best Director. This was the first English-language film ever to receive the Best Film Award at the Goyas (Spain's national film awards), without a single word of Spanish spoken in it. The Others won Best Horror Film at the Saturn Awards, and Kidman received a Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination.

The Walking Dead Season 1 ( 6 episodes so basically a great 4 hr movie)
II was pretty lame.
I want to see the new version of “The Thing”, I have both previous versions (I’m somewhat of a nut about getting all the versions of a movie if there are remakes)
“Cape Fear” with DeNiro is pretty spooky...
So was the remake of “The Fly” with Jeff Goldblum...
Dr. Tung’s 3-D House of Stewardesses.
The Haunting 1963 Julia Harris, Clair Bloom. One of the scariest movies I have ever seen. The hair rose on the back of my neck just typing the title. Something about the movie... demonic? Don’t know, but you asked for it so there it is. Just don’t invite me over, OK?
