Pining for Palin and Trump, and Settling for Cain
Yahoo News ^ | Oct. 11th, 2011 | Sherry Tomfeld

As a conservative, this upcoming election is a pivotal one. As our country continues with its economic woes, protesters and the media add to the chaos. To top it off, I was/am a Palin supporter and need to find someone else to vote for.

Rick Perry mandated HPV shots to 12-year-old girls because he was emotional over his mom's death. Illegal kids get a better deal on college in his state. If he has plans for the economy, I have not seen or heard the details of them.

As a Palin supporter, I too am looking. Last night just gave me more to "want". Where's the passion and love for America that Palin could effortlessly give and promote?

Pining for Trump? Who? Ann Coulter?

I’m not settling for Cain. I’d pick him over Palin, and I am a HUGE Palin fan.

The problem is that we are all screwed because Palin didn’t run. Romney is the next Bob Dole campaign. That means we fall further into economic depression.

I ain’t pining for either of them. You can keep your Trump card. He made an ass out of himself over the Birth Certificate issue.

No thanks.

Gee..maybe there are only a handful of idiots like myself that think if businessmen and farmers were good enough to start this blessed country..maybe it’s time to get back to them. You know, maybe try some people in high office that don’t intend retiring or dying in their jobs. When did career politicians become the ONLY candidates that are viable.

Does anyone really think that someone like Trump or Cain or even Palin would not find the very best to surround themselves with for advisers? Why the heck is everyone so bent on these lame, no personality candidates that we are force fed by the GOP?

I’m not happy with the GOP. I haven’t been happy for years. This is the last vote from me as a “republican” if they make it so Cain doesn’t have a fair shot. The GOP elites need to climb off their nested perches and see what the real life is like. I think Palin, Trump and Cain know and care about us. Romney or Perry? Not so much. They have waaay too much fun acting like spoiled children fighting on the playground.

She is unique and there’s nobody like her running, so pray and try to find the candidate you like best. Never mind the idiot polls whether you candidate leads or not! Choose the one you like and the one you think will make the better president!

I am keeping my options open and trying to hold my opinions close. No votes have been cast!

All are flawed to various degrees, but none to the horrid degree like the Marxist!

Where's the passion and love for America that Palin could effortlessly give and promote?

Gone back into hibernation in the wilds of Alaska, apparently. It sickens my heart and soul that she's decided to leave the path that she is so clearly destined for.

Not to make light of it, but it reminds me of that scene in Star Wars where Obi Wan Kenobi remarks that he's "just felt a disturbance in the force. As though millions of voices suddenly cried out - and then fell silent."

I think I speak for millions of patriot Americans who are reeling in shock about this right now.

You lost me at "Pining for... ...Trump"

I don't like Donald Trump. In fact, it bothers me that he is permitted to live in New York City, less than 220 miles from the White house. I would MUCH prefer that he be required to remain at least 2,200 miles away from it at all times...

I guess I never pined for Palin, and certainly never trusted Trump, so settling on Cain is a good choice for me. He can beat Obama.

Citizen Patriots! You betcha!

Career politicians are responsible for this mess and our country’s downfall.

Always worried about their next reelection.

TEA PARTY ALL THE WAY.

Eh, I’m in the same boat, missing both the needed ideological niche and energy that Palin would represent. None of the others particular inspire me. Well, some of them inspire ‘dislike,’ if that counts. I’m not particularly compelled to make any decision right now, anyway. I think my preference is to just sit back and at least try to garner some twisted entertainment-value out of the ongoing train-wreck.

I said nothing of Palin or Cain, and have no love for the GOP or career politicians.

Trump is a first class a-hole and friend of the Clintons. I was pleased he raised the birth certificate issue, but that doesn’t erase his past for me.

The thought of people pining for Trump to run this country makes me ill. Not as ill as the thought of Obama in the White House... but ill nonetheless.

I don’t think Trump was ever serious about running. He doesn’t have anyone or a consortium to run his business affairs.

He likes the attention and he offered some challenging ideas, but he’s otherwise not a conservative.

Agree, Onyx. For my part, I want to support whichever candidate runs most counter to the ruling class establishment status quo. I'm looking for someone who has the revolutionary spirit of the Tea Party running in their veins. For now, Cain looks like he's the one.
