Newt is looking better- what do you think??

We need a real conservative and fast. Bachman came and went and does not have the resources to compete. Santorum cannot catch fire. Cain does not have the resources and staff to really compete and his 9-9-9- while bold, has too many holes in it. Perry, who I thought would be our savior needs to sit on a cattle prong during the debate and get some fire, and that is not going to happen. He has come and gone. Huntsman is not a conservative, in fact he may be coming out of the closet soon. Romney is a RINO, as we all know.

So that leaves us with Newt. Newt is looking better and better everyday. He has the knowledge, the fire and is the best debater. Obama does NOT want to debate Newt. The mantra is always Newt has baggage. Well, everyone up there last night has baggage. We all have baggage. Clinton had baggage under his desk. Obama has so much baggage, you would need a bus.

I think we all need to take another look at Newt. He is the only one I trust right now! Your thoughts please?

He never looked bad ... the media attempted to use a dirty brush some years ago, and it DID cloud things for a while (still some residual dirt .. ), but in the arena of ideas and cerebral excersizing ... Newt outshines them all.

He had BETTER be a close advisor in whatever Republican administration occurs in 13 months

I prefer Cain but I'll settle for anyone not named Romney, Perry or Huntsman.

Newt is killer in the debates. But I am not voting for “debater in cheif”.

No one cares where any of the candidates really stand, obviously. Its all about who sounds the best at that particular moment.

Record and positions should mean a lot, as well. But here its all about who throws out the best red meat during a debate.

So now we are suppose to love Gingrich because of his debate performances?

Gingrich is the same old Gingrich whom no one in the world really loves.

“Clinton said, ‘You and I are alike.’ Which meant, shut up about Monica or I’ll start telling your story,” Armey said. “Newt and Clinton actually developed sort of a bond over it.”

This was talked about on FR back in the 90’s. Newt had many congressional investigations into the clinton crime machine shut down or severely curtailed in scope. Both are scum but Newt allowed himself to be blackmailed.

Like I said last night, my opinion is that Newt knows he’s not going to get elected as President, therefore he’s saying whatever the hell he wants. It just so happens that alot of what he says, we all agree with.

I have been impressed with what Newt has said he would do if elected. When he was Speaker, his first 100 days and the “Contract with America” was great. Problem is, IMHO, it all went down hill from there. He had Republican majorities but let the Democrats walk all over him. They called the shots, not Newt. Did he learn his lesson? Would he roll over for the liberals once in the White House? I don’t know.

We need someone who will be just as brutal and persistant for the conservative agenda (read -Tea Party) as these Marxist are who control our country now.

As many have already said, we will not find the perfect conservative to run. Everyone will have their faults and weaknesses. For me, the question is “Will they overturn the Obama/Marxist/socialist/communist agenda that has been put into effect and return us to Constutional government?”

I'm with you: Newt may not be perfect but he is far and away the best leader in the bunch.

We need a leader, not just somebody who looks good and might beat Obama.

The new guy will have to rebuild our government from the ground up and Newt's the guy to do it.

I like to listen to Newt, but I can’t seriously consider him for president or vice-president. He’s too unpredictable and, sometimes, full of himself.

And that definitely isn't Romney!

We need a very, very tough person right now. I don't see that many tough personalities running. We need someone who'll stand up to the democrats and shut them down. I can see where Newt could do that - IF he chose to. There lies the question. Can we trust him to do what We the People want him to do?
If he came right out with a contract against creeping Marxism, I'd be right there for him.

Ive watched every debate thus far; everytime Newt opens his mouth class is in session. By far he is the most educated and experienced. My top 3 are Newt, Cain,...and I hate to say it...Romney.

I too am leaning toward Newt. I think a Newt/Cain ticket will be the best ticket. Newt knows the system better than any candidate up there. Cain is a savy business man and he connects with the people. They can beat Obama and I think republicans, conservatives and libertarians will rally around them.

Newt is a good debater, but that’s about it.

How soon some forget just a couple months ago Newt was busy throwing virtually every House Republican under the bus by calling Ryan’s budget “right wing social engineering” because it actually dealt with reigning in Medicare.

And have we already forgotten Newt posing on that couch with Pelosi to combat the complete fraud that is global warming.

And sorry, Newt’s wife is just scary and his Newt’s personal life is a train wreck that would dominate the news were he nominated.

I enjoy listening to Newt debate, but he is not a leader and not presidential material.

I don’t want a ‘pretty boy’. Demographic studies have demonstrated that women vote for the most visually pleasing candidate.
I want someone not only with intellect, but with knowledge on how to change the ‘inside the beltway’ concept of ‘tax and spend’.
I don’t want a good debater ~ I want effective motivator who can accomplish change , and fight for what’s morally right for the country , with experience of affecting change.
I want a true Conservative (morally , economicly, socially), not some mamby-pamby RHINO chosen and cultivated by party leadership because he is one of the ‘Good Ole Boys’.

Will I have to settle for less ?
Maybe so ... , but I don’t want to .

Yup, that's all it is. Newt has nothing to lose because he knows he is not going to win the nomination. Newt has way, way too many problems that can't be overlooked for him to be a serious contender. Love hearing him debate, would never vote for him in the primaries.
