OK, as usual today I read through a dozen (actually probably more) threads about various subjects.
I am interested is seeing the news. I am interested in reading other peoples opinions about what is happening.
Just about every thread I visited had such a huge amount of rancor and spite and outright viciousness it was practically unbearable.
So what is up with all the fighting? Why does every thread turn into a room full of drunk badgers, wolverines with an estrogen overload, and cross dressing hyenas?
Don't we have the ability to be even just a little bit civil with people we disagree with? Are we not adults here? Or at least trying to be?
I finally realized why I've been getting the urge alot lately to pop "Lord of The Flies" in my DVD players!
I understand that people have strong opinions about politics, but it's getting to the point I'd be scared to go to a FReeper party because I KNOW it would turn into a flash mob brawl!!
Calm down folks! Switch to decaff or something!
Those are cool stories, but I must ask for an explaination about golfing naked.
CW II?
My dad went in 03. He was a 3 war Marine and a true patriot.
It would break his heart to see our country as it is now. And to see so many Americans turned into grubby, greedy wards of the state that are so eager to embrace class and racial hatred.
The class warfare and racial hatred so loudly espoused by Obama and his lackeys is right out of the Nazi playbook. I’m not calling the Dems Nazis. But they are most certainly moving in that direction in many ways.
How much of a leap is it to go from public employee union mob bullying and assaults on behalf of Obama to Brownshirts working for Obama? Not much, I’m thinking after watching Jimmy Hoffa’s tirade and the liberal response to it.
Thanks a lot. I’ll just pick up my rabbled self and go play with my lost marbles.
:)
“Steve Jobs was a genius, Amanda Knox is innocent, Rick Perry sucks, Mormons aint Christian, butters better than margarine, Kenny G is fabulous, you got a problem with that?”
You forgot the most important one of all. Ginger was hotter than Marry Ann. Just saying...
I must ask for an explaination about golfing naked.

Well, we lived on the 9th hole of a country club and I was 3 years old and never wore clothes. William Demarest was hosting a celebrity golf tournament. I got loose about the time they got to the 9th hole (of 18), ran out on the course and started hitting the golf balls with my plastic golf clubs. Kissinger tried to catch me by chasing me in the golf cart. He caught me and returned me to my mother. My mother later got a really nasty note from the country club about the incident since they had to start the tournament over. But summarizing it as playing golf naked with Kissinger sounds better. LOL.
LOL! I like that one the best of the stories.
Actually you're right..Not all are Trolls..Some are uninformed folks that come here seeking the truth...we need to be open to their questions...but hard with the truth....If they stay? we've gained ground....
I do think everyone needs to chill. We have Obama on the ropes, and if we want to send him back to Chicago we are going to have to maintain some sort of civility here. We got around six more debates before the end of the year, and if we keep up this pace of ripping on each others candidates there wont be much of a Free Republic left by 2012. My feeling no matter who wins the primary they will be a vast improvement of Obama and his socialist white house Czars.
I meant the part about FR’s getting the boot....
I loved the diss Pat Metheny gave Mr. Gorelick:
Not long ago, Kenny G put out a recording where he overdubbed himself on top of a 30+ year old Louis Armstrong record, the track "What a Wonderful World". With this single move, Kenny G became one of the few people on earth I can say that I really can't use at all - as a man, for his incredible arrogance to even consider such a thing, and as a musician, for presuming to share the stage with the single most important figure in our music..... But when Kenny G decided that it was appropriate for him to defile the music of the man who is probably the greatest jazz musician that has ever lived by spewing his lame-ass, jive, pseudo bluesy, out-of-tune, noodling, wimped out, f'd up playing all over one of the great Louis's tracks (even one of his lesser ones), he did something that I would not have imagined possible. He, in one move, through his unbelievably pretentious and calloused musical decision to embark on this most cynical of musical paths, s--t all over the graves of all the musicians past and present who have risked their lives by going out there on the road for years and years developing their own music inspired by the standards of grace that Louis Armstrong brought to every single note he played over an amazing lifetime as a musician. By disrespecting Louis, his legacy and by default, everyone who has ever tried to do something positive with improvised music and what it can be, Kenny G has created a new low point in modern culture - something that we all should be totally embarrassed about - and afraid of. We ignore this, "let it slide", at our own peril.
And to top it off, Richard Thompson recorded a song called, "I Agree with Pat Metheny, Kenny's Talents are Too Teeny"
I’ve been here awhile and it happens every primary. When a few drop out, it will calm down accordingly. Basically, when it get to Obama and whoever, even the Paulbots will pull the lever for the “R”.
I join you, AFB and CT60’s, in those thoughts of our parents. Things are happening so fast with Obama doubling down, as if knowing his time is surely short. (Sounds as though I were speaking of Satan.) Our dads and mothers would be heartbroken, as are we. Can we even make it to the election is now no longer a foreign thought. I just believe if we stay the course, refuse to be intimidated and keep our God in our heart and head, then we shall be made able to battle for a Constitution who names Him and recognizes Him. It is worth the consequences to try, and someone will emerge to lead us. They always do.
Several of us have kids who are in the military, and to see these slimy ass worthless punks protesting also makes us grumpy..
This is why I don’t post on threads about the upcoming primary.
LOL. My husband (who also grew up in Palm Springs as did his mother) often reminds me that there was MY childhood...and everyone else’s.
Like Harry Truman said: ... “If you can’t stand the heat stay out of Hiroshima”
That is an awesome rant.
And I’ve been a Metheny fan for years, and I’ve never heard him say an unkind word about anybody.
