Governor Palin

Posted on 10/06/2011 7:00:39 PM PDT by Outlaw Woman

The absolutely incredible and historic opportunity presented to you has now been squandered. Governor, what was the point? You accomplished great things (for which I thank you) after resigning but keep in mind that the reason for the support was that people believed you were going to run for President yourself. Do you honestly believe that people and supporters surfaced for any other reason? You allowed the 'illusion' to continue knowing full well you were not going to run..

Some people uprooted their lives and some, spent their savings because of the belief they had in you. You would have been one of the greats Governor; you could have help to right this magnificent ship we call the United States of America, but instead, like any other politician, you hide behind others and use them as your excuse to not run.

Your fellow countrymen/women called on you and you led all of us on a wild goose chase ending with a wimpish letter declining to run. I'm sorry for you; I’m more sorry for my country. I’m glad & eternally grateful that men going into World War II didn’t refuse because their children begged them not to go; we’d all be speaking german now and ignoring the slaughter of undesirables if they had.

Family loyalty is a wonderful thing Governor, but without our mangificent country the family unit will be reduced to nothing.

President Palin would have been far more effective than Citizen Palin. In the end it turns out that you are just another politician.

I wish for the sake of you and others she had decided sooner.

On June 28th 2011, Bristol Palin said on "Fox & Friends" that Sarah had "DEFINITELY DECIDED" whether to run or not.

That's over 100 days ago. If Sarah had decided NOT to run, why did she string us along? And how does she still deserve honor & respect if she DID string us along?

Obama pretty much quit the senate 5 minutes after he got there so he could run for President.

she could have used that

She could have been one of the greats; does anyone doubt that?

Count me as a doubter. Any Presidential aspirations she may have had died on July 4th 2009.

Her children don’t want to be munching bag of liberals. Her family is very young, I think she did it for her children. Just last week Bristol was attacked by some loon. I think there is limit, how long this family can take it?
She is very young more opportunities will come.

Sarah chose not to run because she knew she could not win. Palin is more concerned about getting the marxist out of office than being president. I dare anyone to walk in her shoes for just one day...

She is the one that determined to sacrifice her life, career (which was already in politics) and her family.

Palin has extensive support from her family. It's not an excuse now to state that due to family she is not going to run.

Hell, she is coming to St. Louis tomorrow in an appearance with Glen Beck...what is different for a trip of this magnitude than one as President?

"She has two major quits behind her — Oil & Gas, Alaska Governor — and there was just no getting past that in this election cycle."

Good night! She quit the Oil and Gas Commission because it was full of corruption, and the way to clean it up was to take the Governorship, who appoints the Commission members. And SHE DID IT.

Can we move on now? Cain is the MAN

It sounds Biblical but IIRC it is Shakespeare, “Put not your faith in Princes(ses).”

You are wrong. She would have won. It’s too bad.

Stop being so cocky. It’s like a death in the family. Give folks some time to absorb it.

It hurts.

It hurts the movement, and hurts everyone’s enthusiasm.

Plenty of time to recover, but I for one, felt yesterday like I’d been punched. Very bad news.

I’d hope she comes to some sort of senses, then endorses Cain, and Cain in return IMMEDIATELY makes a point to say she’ll be his VP nominee.

That would recapture the energy, she would not the in front getting all the mudslinging, and Cain is awesome.

And Cain would win. Big.

That’s what I would hope.

That would re-ignite the base. A win/win as they say.

-----------------------------------------

What makes you think this isn't the plan?

I thought she was running, too. But unless she's been finally broken by the threats, I never thought she was out.

Which leaves V.P.

And if you think about it, in one stroke it would destroy virtually every remaining complaint-meme about her.

It's freaking brilliant.

Bull!

Bristol was mauled every day while she was on “Dancing With The Stars”

Enough of the excuses.

You want to know something? She’s “still” our best leader. But look at the reality. The media was going to channel the ever-increasing hatred and angst in the country, courtesy the upcoming economic decline and the overall decline of America, right at her feet. The hellishness would know no bounds. The template was already set, thanks to three years of demonization. As talented as I believe Palin to be, this was going to be a recipe for disaster, and I don’t doubt for a minute the media would even gin up violence against her and her family.

This was the right move, even though it kind of rattles the nerves on the surface. I think this will become more and more obvious in the next few months. And, I truly think Palin will come out of this in very good shape, even if not in the manner many have envisioned.

If she runs as a VP...

I’ll vote against the ticket.

Speaking of Newt. Tonight on Hannity, Newt said if elected, in the immediate hours after being sworn in, he would do most all the things I used to say Palin should immediately do if elected. He laid a great many of them out and briefly I was very impressed, then I remembered it was Newt.

I had hoped she would run. I thought she would win. There is no tomorrow. This is “The End”. This would have been our chance to turn it around. It seems there are just too many moochers. “Keep your hands off My Medicare” was a clue and that was almost there years ago. It is like watching a play that you have read or seen before. We all know what is going to happen and it would seem there just isn’t any stopping it. I read recently that Great Republics aren’t killed, they commit suicide. I guess it is true.

Timing is everything. Maybe Sarah concluded that she will be ready to run for President in 2016 or 2020. Here's my analysis: Time heals all wounds. In either of the above scenarios, I believe that Sarah Palin will ultimately erase her negatives to the degree that she will remain a potent and viable force in conservative politics. To think that her political career has officially peaked is the height of naiveté, IMHO...

Agreed 1000%.

We now have to move on. Personally I hate it because with Palin, I truly believed that there was someone who ‘got it’. Apparently not...

She has crippled herself and will find that out when she goes out and tries to rally people in the same way she did this summer.
