We start the show in New Jersey.
A 14 year old rapper named Bryan. "Give me 5 years and I will be bigger than Jay-Z."
He performs some shtick with Simon, as if Simon is dissin' him. "Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, I saw that man." This is the kid's intro to his rap. "Stop lookin' at my mom!"
I don't know from rap. The audience seems to like it, hands in the air like they just don't care.
Simon: Arrogant, obnoxious. But one of the most talented young people we've seen.
Paula: You are unique.
LA: I used to run this label called Def Jam. And all the years I was there, I was waiting for a kid like you to walk in.

I think this is going to be like Americna Idol.....they select about 500 “finalists” then trim it down to 20 or so, with the first “cut” after they all get a trip to Hollywood or Vegas.
