Nice plant! Big!
They aren’t exactally(sp?) “horrible” but I LOVE:
“A Christmas Story”
“King Arthur”
“Gladiator”
Just looking at the titles in the first 50 posts raises a question. What describes horrible? Box office? B level studio/production company? Not what one would expect from the cast?
Some real favorites in the list so far. Buckaroo Banzai (downloaded an unabridged script), Hudson Hawk (first movie son and I saw in a theater together), water/post/kostner (both are better than “dances-with-wolves-then-fights-evil-cavalry-to-protect-tribe” (which crossed nicely with ferngully to give us avatar!
Point is, critical acclaim or box office are standards for other folks. Entertained for a couple hours = good movie
entertaining...... encino man, S.W.A.T., Zatoichi (the one with dancing), the incredibles......
Ahh - the beginnings of Robert Englund’s horror movie career. Nice pull.
Sleepaway Camp? You watch the whole movie just to see the girl at the end....
From where I stant, it would be hard to tell which facial expression it was.
Just Sayin’
Bio-dome, THAT was bad.
Dune, the Stephen Lynch one. I saw it before I read the book, which is maybe why I don't hate it. I like the longer cut they released on DVD.
Repo Man I wore the tape of the soundtrack out. 'I shall not cause harm to any vehicle nor the personal contents thereof, nor through inaction let the personal contents thereof come to harm' It's what I call the Repo Code, kid!
Happy Gilmore I almost stopped breathing I was laughing so hard when I saw this in the theater.
Date with an Angel
Oo, I don’t remember that one. I will have to go check it out.
Surf Nazis Must Die.
Ruthless People
Other People’s Money
Oh, that reminds me: I howled my way through “The Man With Two Heads.” Starring Rosie Greer, not Steve Martin. To be truly funny ... and this is what Mars Attacks fails at ... a “so bad it’s good” movie must be sincere, the kind of movie where you just know the director has convinced himself that his movie will be a major blessing to the entire Earth.
See also, “West Side Story,” “Battlefield Earth,” and “the Book of Daniel.”
(OK, that last one was a TV pilot, but was the funniest damned show I ever watched.),
The Pirate Movie
Mr Majestyk is one of Bronsens better movies. I would never consider that horrible.
“GET YOUR B@LLZ OFF MY SNARE DRUM!!!”
Love it!
Plan 9 gets a bad rap and it's easy to mock, but I'd argue that the worst movie is one that bored me, and whatever you want to say about Plan 9's production quality (or lack thereof), it's not boring. It moves pretty quick for its 79 minutes.
Hell, Plan 9's not even the worst Ed Wood movie.
The Craw?
Hey salamander, you know how we were talking the other week. This is another one that I adored.
Knightriders wit Ed Harris. lol
