GENERAL PALIN ~ A FORCE OF ONE
TEA Party Tribune ^ | Tuesday, September 6, 2011 | Anthony James

Posted on 09/06/2011 7:50:54 AM PDT by Gargantua

I spend a good deal of time on the FreeRepublic website, America’s premier gathering place for conservative activists. A healthy cross-section of America’s modern day “Minutemen” bivouac here regularly to share and discuss the daily news items which most greatly affect our constitutional Republic.

We were just discussing Sarah Palin’s newest Facebook message regarding Jimmy Hoffa’s disgusting profanity yesterday where he addressed union members with this distinctly un-American reference to The TEA Party: “Let’s take these sons of bitches out!”

It wasn’t that long ago that Democrats including president Obama were calling for a more civil form of discourse throughout our land. What a difference a few weeks makes.

If we weren’t already aware that Liberalism is a mental infirmity, it might cause you to wonder just how many of our “very concerned and compassionate” liberal friends will come out against Mr. Hoffa’s clear call to violence. Well, we know he likely will not be reprimanded by Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D – CA), who recently said, “The TEA Party can go straight to hell! In fact, I’m gonna help ‘em!” How very tolerant and thoughtful… then again, what else should one expect of our brightest and most elite academic congnoscenti, eh?

A couple months ago in my article “Forewarned is Forearmed” I predicted that the all-out assault on The TEA Party was coming, and that the churlish ugliness was going to be appoplectic, historic and unprecedented. Liberal progressives are so predictable, it would be funny if it weren’t so tragic.

One of the Freepers with whom I was discussing Sarah’s current Facebook message made the comment that, once again, Gov. Palin was the first to respond to the ugliness, in this case, from Mr. Hoffa. Here is his comment, and my reply.

FREEPER: “Governor Palin beats the entire d__n GOP to the punch…again.”

A.J.: You’re right… and you’re not. Five will get you ten that most if not all of her “running mates” for the GOP nod won’t touch this with a ten-foot-pole.

Palin alone is the first-responder, the special-ops, human tactical weapon who sprints toward the greatest threat to engage and destroy it, instead of away from the fight… to cower in safety.

She would be the first, except that there won’t be a second. As usual, she stands alone, in the breach, defending all that is good, and worth cherishing, from all that is vile, corrupt and anathema to every single American ideal.

Allow me to qualify that: She stands alone among those who would seek the highest office in the land, but she also stands at the head of the greatest army ever assembled in the history of mankind. The TEA Party represents Sarah Palin’s fighting force, and we outnumber virtually every standing army on earth combined.

Those who would stand against us should proceed advisedly and with justifiable caution. It is our very way of life, and the secure futures of our children for which we gather on this battlefield of ideas. This battle, waged in the hearts and minds of men and women across this great land, will prove that the more the truth of this struggle and its implications are made known to the masses, the larger our numbers will swell.

( End of FreeRepublic.com discussion )

It deserves to be said, and simply cannot be overstated—Sarah Palin and her supporters are among the most viciously assailed individuals in the pantheon of American political discourse. As Andrew Breitbart states so eloquently in the movie “The Undefeated”:

“All one has to do to gain immediate acceptance in Washington DC or New York is to disparage Sarah Palin.” Your credentials as a card-carrying member in good standing of the progressive intelligentsia are immediately established merely by attacking this fine, patriotic, God-fearing woman.

By the same token, all one need do is to express their support for Sarah Palin and they are immediately branded a lunatic; a Kool-Aid drinker; a slobbering partisan, when the fact is that Sarah Palin actually is the single and sole guard at the gate, and the only one most deserving of our lauditory approbado. There is no one else from among those who seek the GOP nomination willing to jump into this fray.

If the other candidates honestly believe that staying out of this fight is somehow going to make them look or seem more presidential, they are sadly mistaken. What America needs right now are more people who not only want to be president, but who actually have the guts (actually spelled with a capital “N”) to face down this despicable, amoral thugocracy.

Luckily what America needs right now America has right now. And we find it in only one place, and in only one person. That she inspires those who still cherish what is right and what is good in this fallen world is not a fault, and it’s nothing to be derided or ridiculed. Within the last century these were still precepts which most Americans held dear. That we, in this devolved and putrefacted day and age still have someone like her to seize the helm and steer this ship of state back onto a course with a heading of individual responsibility, prosperity, and liberty is quite remarkable.

Even this, however, pales in comparison to Palin herself. Then again, so do they all.

Watched Morning Joe this morning and I have to say they mentioned Palin several times. The tone of their ire toward her is fading a bit. Although they preface every word about Palin is she cant win they say she is right about “Crony capitalism” and Mika and Joe went as far as to say if Palin would have said what Hoffa did all shiola would have hit the fan. Give it time.

We have to fight. Post Palin’s words on your fbook wall, send in emails, tweet it. We might lose friends but so be it. On my facebook wall, I have 201 friends, I posted that I will become political in the days ahead and gave my friends an out. I still have 201 friends :)

Sarah Palin has been turned into an evil cartoon by the MSM. Many ill informed believe this—They mix her up with Tina Fey. This is why we in the Tea Party must put on the full armor of God. We need our own organs—newspapers, networks etc... We need to get the word out ourselves—The regular MSM is not going to help— We also need to be ready when the Union/Democrat Thugs start to use their “talents” to break up rallies. We must be ready like the Minutemen of old. I believe a new arm of the Tea Party is needed—The Sons of Liberty—Armed, ready, and disciplined. Not to attack but defend.

Sarah has the fire in the belly to step forward.”

That’s sort of the question, isn’t it?

If/when she begins her “real” campaign, we’ll know very rapidly the answer.....

I guess she is the only one and of course the Hoffa quote was likely aimed at her for calling for the TEA PARTY to grow!

The GOP should have been all over Hoffa’s statement and Biden’s too.

Where are the announced candidates? Mitt is waiting for the results of last night’s poll and Joe Isuzu is busy cutting deals with campaign backers.

The Tea Party needs to be verbally proactive. There are tons of community chat forums like TOPIX and others where blue collar people gather to gossip. If Tea Party people want to recruit, this is the place to do it. Not facebook, twitter and the like. You must go where the “real” people are.

Don't discount Facebook and Twitter. Palin uses Facebook to post her articles in large part so that her followers can share with their friends. Almost 75% of American adults have a Facebook page. I understand that most people want to keep their political views outside of Facebook but I share Palin's articles with my friend list with no editorial comment. I let her words speak for themselves.

She doesn't put out articles often enough to annoy anybody but if anybody wants to un-friend me because I share Palin articles, so be it. At least I will know who my real friends are. So far, nobody appears to have dropped me.

Daisy and All,

You are dead on that the GenPub need to hear the message. But let me relate similar a story that applies here.

In the 97-2001 era I was Senior Editor at www.off-road.com, a site that catered to the off-road motorsports world. We were then the #2 site on the web behind only NASCAR.

Because Gore was in office and the enviros have always been at odds with motorized recreation, we covered many land use topics. I even posted a few of my old “Being Green” columns ON FR on those topics. Here’s what we learned:

People, by and large, don’t want to get involved in anything that takes them away from their routine activities. They are content to stand back and let others fight battles for them and get the benefits without the work. An ugly truth, but it’s reality. I cannot tell you how much coverage we gave land use issues and the threat by the BLM and environazis to close down 4x4 areas. People just naturally assumed that it would be closed and just sat there and let it happen.

I attended dozens of land use/BLM meetings and there were dozens upon dozens of Sierra Club types there, but only a handful of “us”...every time, with one exception. That was in Lancaster CA. in 2001. I got the chance to go heads up with Daniel Patterson of the Center for Biological Diversity and humiliated him in front of a large crowd of “our team”.

But it was all for naught. The general public who cast the votes were never aware of these things through both active suppression of meeting dates by the BLM and the general apathy of the public to the issue. As a result, tens of millions of acres of American public land have been closed off to the American public.

I tell you this for a reason. The Obama mess and the things he has done to this country parallel the dictator-like behavior of the BLM on a grand scale and so the results are the same... Government does what it wants at the expense of a resistant or apathetic public.

Here’s the difference and the thing that we can use to save ourselves if we have the will.

Obama has pushed so hard and so fast that he alienates even his own people. And most importantly he has hit them in the one real thing that they all, Lib or conservative care about: The wallet.

Palin has it exactly right. Her methods and her message is the only one that matters. She is appealing directly to the heart of everyone’s concerns, though she never speaks the exact words. “Think about what you have lost...think about what is yet being taken away from you.”

We had a basic single issue problem that lacked broad appeal to the public. After all, most people don’t go off-roading and don’t care about things that do not directly effect them... BUT IT DID!! All that closure put mining and logging areas off limits and destroyed jobs and tax revenue alike. Now, Obama continues those takings, but he has taken the employment of millions of others right along with it.

Each of us know several people effected negatively by the Obama economy. They are angry, they are upset and they have lost much of what they spent a lifetime acquiring whether it’s homes, property, savings or what have you. Now, after this long winded diatribe, I’ll get to the point.

The TEA Party is, if nothing else, the most representative cross reference of America perhaps in the history of politics. It is the virtual army that both big labor and the Lib/statist/RINO faction fears because it’s right on the issues and highly motivated. The key is to focus that motivation in the right direction. We have the man power, we have the issues on our side and we have a general public willing to hear the message.

Traditional theory says that we must buy huge TV ads etc and do things the way they have always been done. Why? do you want the same results? Wasted cash to potentially little or no benefit?

Obama and co will spend us under the table every time. But what they cannot do, no matter how many canvasers they hire, is go friend to friend, neighbor to neighbor, on barstools and backyards and say “Look Bill. I know we don’t always see eye to eye on politics but we are all hurting here. This crap can’t go on. You just lost XXXX because of the crap in DC. You really want more of it?”

And speak directly to what these people “FEEL” what they KNOW and what they don’t want to admit! GIVE THEM AN ALTERNATIVE!

At ORC, we had a global readership in the millions. The Tea Party has an audience of 300,000,000 who have been hammered by Obama. They have been hit hard in the wallet. They are ready to listen. The question is, what do we want to tell them.

As a Palin supporter I believe she has the right ideas to fix many of our problems and put us on the right path to straighten out the rest. Those ideas resonate with a broad audience because they are common sense things that we all know will work. Drill here/now/all of the above energy/end crony capitalism etc. All those. But some people are anti Palin because it’s Palin saying it.

So discuss the ideas themselves with people. Much as I want her elected (a lot) the bottom line here is that it is the ideas she brings forth that matter, not the person. She says that pretty much every time she speaks.

I’ll finish off by saying this in summary. The ideas matter. People are willing to hear them. we must convey them in a clear and factual matter that people PERSONALLY relate to. Do that and the right candidate to implement them will get the votes.

She has the fire ... how she will decide to use it at this time offers several choices. She would be a excellent running mate. She would be a great Secretary of State. There are many offices she could and would benefit America, when she believes the timing is right. She has had quite an impact since she first came to the attention of the conservative voter. She might run in Arizona .. she has a house there or her daughter does which would be fine for her to reside in. She would be a wonderful Senator. etc.

She has a plan .. we just aren't knowing which/what she will choose to put her energy into until she determines the timing is right. She said she would not run an ordinary campaign. Believe her. I stand ready to support her choice.

Has anyone considered that Sarah Palin/Tea Party detractors in the Republican party are quietly supporting James Hoffa, etal in their quest to “take out” the tea party Americans and Sarah Palin?

I have, they’re not to be trusted as they desperately cling on to their own corrupt base of power.

Just read that a few minutes ago on that thread - saved it in a word.doc to pin on my cubicle wall.
She's getting ready to make her move - a great leader isn't afraid to take on the tough tasks themselves - that's what makes people want to follow them - like Washington or Stonewall Jackson (or Deborah) - "join me, follow me - I am not afraid, and you needn't be afraid either - we will face them together - we stand or fall as one."

"If/when she begins her “real” campaign, we’ll know very rapidly the answer....."

--------------------------------------------------------------

FRiends, she has been campaigning for POTUS ever since Nov. 7, 2008. IMHO, she realized her destiny prior to that when McCain suspended his campaign to return to DC f(for what?). She knew then that the real war to save America would begin on the above date.

She knew, and still does, that there are genuine patriotic out here, somewhere, with the ability to lead our nation back to its rightful place. She knows the way, and really doesn't want that awesome responsibility herself, but will put on the mantle if no one else will.

That is the real reason why she is holding off on making her announcement. It more and more looks like she is IT.

Pray for America, and pray for her.
