Cripes! It's a joint session of Congress addressed by the President of the United States. Why in the world would he be doing it unless it were tremendously important? Supposedly, there is no higher drama.

I hope they boo him and walk out the minute Obama starts the partisan blaming and excuse making. It's a campaign speech with a captive audience and worldwide coverage. It would be very disrespectful if he wastes everyone's time and doesn't have anything worthwhile to say.

Given that the WH has already announced that unemployment will remain high for some years to come, Obama could save everyone a lot of time if his "speech" consisted of saying this: "I got nothin'!"
