I'm pretty happy most days reading FR...
It's the one place mostly-intelligent people meet to discuss important issues with decency, mixed with just the right amount of strongly held opinions.
But for crying out loud, lay off Christine O'Donnell already.
There was only one point at which I thought she might win, and that was after she got millions of dollars in that 24-hour money marathon.
My hope was she’d take that money, hire a couple of veteran cmapaign folks, who could do two or three hard-hitting ads that emphasized conservative principles that would turn our economy around.
Instead, she got talked into doing a witch commercial, she cancelled her weekend show appearances, and ended up with money in the bank.

These are not men. They are craven, petulant little boys who happen to be old. They are deplorable examples of either an atrocious upbringing, a low intellect, or both. They also know who they are, and shame is their lasting legacy.

Thank you, Cringing. Some of us like and admire Christine but we get shouted down by a lot of woman-haters here at FR. I do believe Rove wrecked the election for her and HE should be attacked, not her.
I’m going to enjoy reading her book.
Yes, we have some very strange old men on FR who enjoy not only vilifying women candidates but also attacking female freepers. I can’t begin to tell you how often I’ve been attacked for supporting Christine, Sarah & Michelle. Everything from “go take a Midol,” to “go back to the kitchen.” (And when they learn I’m from NYC - then they just wish death on me during a hurricane!!)
We do have people like 2ndDivisionVet, though, who rides above the hate and rancor.

I’m sitting here minding my own business and this guy comes off with some cockamamy charge that I’m a DU’r, KOS, etc.
So tore into him and discovered the guy is probably a stalker, worships Christine(probably has a shrine to her) and that he may be touched in the head.
Then I learn, he may have actually been involved in Chrisine’s campaign at one point and I’m thinking “Nuts! If this guy reps her then I can’t support her anymore”.
So we go at each other every now and then.
I want my $150 bucks back.

LOL. I think you hit it. The guy is a very disagreeable type with an irritating manor.
The point isn’t that Morgan is a POS. Just look into the reason he was fired as editor of the Brit paper he worked for to see what a slime he is. The point is that O’Donnell knew what she was involved with and made it a fiasco. It wasn’t even her decision to walk off. She states that someone is telling her to get off. Can’t she make that determination herself? If she can’t handle some no ratings hack, how is she going to effectively combat the Rat party?
I also have an issue that all the calamities that befall here are ALWAYS someone else’s fault. Never hers. It is almost childlike and doesn’t inspire confidence of leadership.

I know a fine burst of invective when I see it. A whiff of grape shot to clear the ranks. My socialist/liberal spouse claims I support Michelle and Sarah et al because they are attractive women. Of course commonsense tells anyone that this should NOT be the criteria. Especially when a whole way of life is at stake. Nonetheless, charisma helps somewhat.
