We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.
How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.
Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.
If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?
I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?
You have a link to that claim?
It didnt happen.
Perry allowed an easy opt out.
It doesn't make them LEGAL residents if they are in fact ILLEGAL ALIENS.
In Tx , thanks to the pen of Rick Perry, they cant vote.
Voter ID is simply common sense.
Currently, your primary choice for President is not running.
I would choose Palin if se was in the race, but I can see that she is not... so I’m looking at the crop of candidates we have.
Romney? Not a chance!!!
Bachmann? Congresscritter (historically, we don’t do well with Congresscritters as President), not too accurate with her facts
Cain? Not a bad choice, but looks to be caving in already with some of his positions.
Paul? I think he’d probably die of old age is the first year or two of his term.
And, now...
Perry? Pretty consistent with 10th Amendment and state’s rights... and has done well creating a good environment for economic growth. Won award for his support of Israel. Supports gun ownership.
Not too shabby.
Though, I still need to read up on his support for the military (lip-service don’t cut it)... as well as some other issues.
But for the most part, his support of the 10th amendment makes most of our cuurent political issues moot.
And Perry is one on a half dozen in in this nation to sign it into law.
Others would too, if they had legislatures willing to pass common sense laws.
The fact that it's even necessary isn't troubling?! WTH!
Rick Perry and Greg Abbott are suing the feds at this very moment over the EPA’s overreach.
What are the other candidates doing?
And Perry isn’t Johnny come lately on this mater.
He has been in Obamas chest from day one
We have bigger fish to fry.
If it concerns you pick up a FReepin pen and write NO
Perry will honor it. No questions asked
Your post is #666 so I’ll put in my own opinion, appropriately.
Dio was good but Iommi is great.
Dio should’ve stuck with Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow because Sabbath isn’t Sabbath without Ozzy.
Hip hop that.
:)
Wow. That must have taken some time to write.
O_O
“The original order did include an opt out, in order to protect the right of parents to be the final authority on their childrens health care as Perry ordered the Texas Department of State Health Services to allow parents dissenting for philosophical or religious reasons to request a conscientious objection affidavit form. “
If you can say no, how is something “mandatory”?
Here is one article I have quickly on hand that references the fact that a student who is a Texas resident can be granted in-state tuition only if they are going through the United States citizenship process already.

Excerpt:
In 2001, Perry signed into law the first state DREAM Act, which allows children of illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at state universities as long as they graduated from a Texas high school and are working toward attaining citizenship.

I hear that when all is said and done, it is approximately $30,000.00 a person to go through this process. My daughter has friends who are married and have gone through this process, and they had to dish out almost $60,000.00 for the two of them getting their citizenship, so I guess what I heard was at least fairly close.
No, it’s a copy & paste boilerplate ad hominem tour de force you can find on the net if you’re too lazy or stupid to write your own.
:)
You can’t fool me.
That’s not Uncle Ted.
:)
I haven’t a clue what’s going on.
I just came in for the free pizza rolls.
