We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.
How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.
Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.
If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?
I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?
Wow — you are quick mylife!
Pick a thread, any thread. Time after time. It always ends up like this.
Actually if the rumors are to be true Bilderberg meetings influence large swathes of western civilization. they don’t invole themselves on a personal level more of a broad social conditioning macro level.
You are simply letting the Establishment dictate who is qualified. GHW Bush was never elected to anything but a House seat until he got on Reagan's coattails. He held a series of appointed posts, that's all. He was the quintessential Establishment Pubbie, and we all paid the price. He was a weak poltician and a poor campaigner, as was his son.
What is needed is 1) honesty 2) conservative principles as a matter of deeply held conviction, not political opportunism, and 3) an uncompromising, combative spirit. Bachmann, Palin, and Cain have all those qualities. " The rest is up to us. "Executive experience " simply guarantees a survivalist hack--a Romney, Perry, or the like.
Carter, Clinton, Bush, Rockefeller, Bloomberg--these guys all had "gubernatorial executive experience." A lot of good that did us. It's a myth that 0bama is a failure because he lacked experience. He is a disaster because he is a communist committed to destroying America.
Early this summer I had Mexicans beating my door down asking to mow the grass.
The economy sucks and these folks are looking for work.
Now it’s 100 t 112 deg, Obama is paying folks to sit at home and nobody is cutting the damn grass.
I dont mind a good hired hand.
Nice.
Amen to that!...:oP
I don’t need graphs to read historical data. No guardasil, Gore or LaRaza in Palin’s past. For starters.
You also don't mind giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
CRAZY, CRAZY??
I pity you for your shortsightedness!
When November of 2012 rolls around, who you going to vote for?
A third party?
Great, that really worked out well in '92.
Sheesh, come back to reality, FRiend!
Ugh. Really? You know illegals can serve in our military, right? He was talking about them. He was saying if those who fought in oh, say, Iraq or Afghanistan, serve honorably, they should be allowed to follow the legal road to citizenship. We don’t require THAT kind of test of any other immigrants. Pretty steep, life on the line kind of thing.
I don't have to. No candidate in American history has been weighed on being a small town mayor. Even big city mayors are rare in the Presidential race.
It's time on the national level that matters. Vice Presidents, Governors, generals and senators. Representatives, occasionally. Most of Ford's career was in the House, but he spent 25 years there, and was Minority Leader. Being Mayor of Wasilla simply isn't comparable, and would not be considered as a qualification for any other Presidential candidate.
No one wants the jobs they are filling. Ever see an illegal working as a bank teller? NO. They pick onions for 10 hours in 104 degrees. No one wants the jobs they will take. No one.
No mega donors either...
That would be called an "assumption". You're not special nor unique.....you're just some dude on the internet....and I couldn't care less about your opinion, Mr. "I have No Candidate".
Because the others are LEGAL.
You really do love the invaders, don't you?
Once again...here is your source. And tomorrow, you will be saying he never said it. Or he never promised. OR you’ll be saying it doesn’t matter. But here.
Rick Perry’s Promise to G-d.

Ni-nite.
No love. I just lived in Texas forever and “get it.” We need SOMEONE to do the crappy jobs. The problem is that when they get in, either illegally or with work visas, they run off and stay here and the feds will not deport. THIS is the problem. I’m a realist. And don’t want to pay $10 for an onion. Sorry if that doesn’t suit.
Tough Sh!t,
I’m not interested in giving illegals a short cut to citizenship.
If they want to die for their country, let them die fighting against the corruption in Mexico!
As for the “corridor”, it was not mandated by congress.
You seem to be stuck on stupid, too.
I'm going to make a wild guess here (sarcasm)- that you expect me to apologise for not excusing and ignoring your stupidity.
DRey, ignorance can easily be cured with simple factual knowledge.
Stupidity is denial of factual knowledge.
Have a nice life!
