Don't like Perry? How about promoting your candidates positives?
8/27/11 | Listenhillary

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.

How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.

Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.

If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?

I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?

Lean hard on Filepe Calderon

Who were the last people to go to another country and talk trash about the USA? The Dixie Chicks? No...your boy:

MEXICO CITY — Leading a large delegation of Texas executives trying to drum up business in Mexico, Gov. Rick Perry on Tuesday criticized the U.S. Congress for failing to pass an immigration bill that would legalize millions of workers.

Perry Blasts Border Policies

Did you read the article you just posted? I agree with every single thing he just said.

You do realize that the same 4-7 anti-Perry posters are on every Perry thread. It's old, tiresome and pathetic. If they don't like Perry, well, FR has posting history. Search their names, it's hilarious.

I do not, and care not. If he outspent them, that tells me he has more support and is more likely to beat Obama.

Rick Perry is NOT conservative!

You will be the death of the conservative movement yet!

Ready for 4 more years of 0bama?

Keep the in-fighting going...

Well, not quite...to get in-state tuition, an must have attended the last three years in a Texas high school. There is a residency requirement for every resident.

Being "viable" is purely a psychological stance; a matter of morale.

Being 'viable' means looking at the past. Generals. Governors. The occasional senator. The 'other' category you could count on one hand.

There's been about two people with as little qualification as Bachmann. Not in the 20th or 21st centuries, though. There have been no businessmen with no elected experience elected as President, ever.

Palin's resume is, comparatively speaking, light, but it is sufficient by historical standards. Even those standards are getting tougher. Our last 20+ years have had Ivy League resumes or multi-term governors. GHWB's resume is so strong you'd think it's fake. Reagan was a multi-term governor of a very large state. You see where I'm going with this.

Representatives and businessmen are simply not Presidential material. That's not some kind of media whammy. It's 200+ years of American tradition.

Maybe he can make his next speech to the Aryan Brotherhood. Or CAIR.

I disagree. It will matter in the primary as will the source of these contributions.

But I know YOU know that was at best an insult to you, not Palin.

I'm just pleased to provide that tiny spark of light to your otherwise shallow, meaningless existence.

I know. And they’re just getting more and more deranged as he climbs in the polls. It’s actually kind of pitiful.

A 2 year senator with a pathetic state voting record in Illinois whose only experience was rabble-rousing as a community organizer got elected. Bachman, Cain, Palin, Trump or Speed Racer are better qualified.

Yes. Even the illegal ones. He prefers educated illegals to uneducated illegals. So do I. It doesn’t cost me, the taxpayer, one dime, and makes Texas a better place.
