I just went to the Clorox website because I noticed the "concentrated" label on that bottle you linked to and it worried me. . . I wanted to check what the concentration of Sodium Hypochlorite was in their "concentrated" product. . . and to my horror I learned that Clorox has CHANGED their entire product line. . . and their cap coding too!!!!
OH, MY GOD! Clorox has just CHANGED all the formulas for CLOROX!!!!! They have tossed out the good old stand-by that has been a century old and replaced it with JUNK New formula with adulterations!!! They are also using the SAME COLOR CAP ON EVERY VARIETY!!!!!! They've thrown the baby out with the bathwater. I would NOT, REPEAT NOT!!! use any CLOROX product for hygienic use on the human body until further notice!!!!!
They do not make it easy to lean what the concentration is, but WORSE ALL of the Clorox products are now ADULTERATED with laundry additives. There IS no pure bleach Clorox anymore. For example their Regular Clorox now includes: "Sodium polyacrylate is used in laundry detergents to prevent soils from depositing on fabrics during the laundry cycle."
Another with the same blue cap, which just says "Clorox" but at the bottom lists "High Efficiency" also includes "Sodium Xylene Sulfanate"!
WHAT IN HELL ARE THEY THINKING!!!!
In general things are going hooie here in the US. Remember when your good old Maytag would last 10-20 years? Well my 5 year old LG wash/dryer combo broke for the 2nd time in 1 month and Abt is making me wait 10 days before they are sending out a repair guy to order the parts. I require a washer/dryer combo because of space for width, height and venting.
Now good old Clorox changed its formula for the worse. GRRRRRRR!
What next?

I have been looking, but so far, finding the ingredient lists for other brands is tough : /
Soooo, other than Sodium Hypochlorite, what ingredients are “safe” and were in the old Clorox formula?
Also, should I come across a simple bleach brand, what percentage of Sodium Hypochloride should we be looking for, (again, maybe what was in the old Clorox formula?) before we reduce it down to the 20-1 Dakin’s formula?
Thanks much and may God bless!
This really disturbs me, I do some of my cleaning with a Clorox/water solution and have always relied on only the brand Clorox with the blue lid to be actual bleach.
No idea why they would make this change. It makes no sense. I don’t use bleach for my laundry but I would bet I buy more of it than most people for home use.
