Thanks!
I have all my teeth - all four of them!
Seriously, most came out when I was about 53. My dad, who died at 50 from a massive heart attack, had none of his left at 45 or so.
None of us live forever. At least I haven’t discovered any evidence to the contrary.
Yet.
Well that's good news. The edentulous (those without teeth) cannot have bleeding gums where the teeth go through the gum line, because they don't have that interface. . . and they don't develop the problems we were seeing if they lost their teeth early enough. My father's mother had all her teeth pulled at age 17, because her doctor diagnosed her with what she always claimed was "Guitar of the Bowels" and had her teeth pulled as the proper treatment. I've never been able to find a disease to put to that name. . . in any case she died at 93, hale and hearty without any plaque related issues, mean and cantankerous as anyone I ever knew. Never had any false teeth either.
