my wife is a total food network junkie and bourdain is a typical elitist nyc yankee, we don’t care for his type in flyover country. I don’t care that Paula Dean is a lib, I feel I would have more fun with her than bourdain does with his precious illegal aliens that he “feels” so much for.

“Paula Deen suffers from what dietary related disorder?”

She has diabetes. That being said, I have tried her recipes ON OCCASION. The ones that I tried were absolutely fantastic. I understand that many people need to eat healthier but my point is this: when does eating healthy become a 24/365 obsession and cookbooks containing recipes for Pound Cakes, Fried Chicken, Fudge, Cookies, Pies (etc...) become banned? Sure... a fruit cup is healthier for you and tastes good but sometimes... people just want a piece of chocolate cake. What’s so wrong with that?

Los Vegas under the mafia

Another topic, but Vegas under the mob was a fun place to visit. Nowadays under corporate rule, it's just a tacky tourist trap.

I’ve watched dozens of Bourdains’ shows. He regularly indulges in artery cloggers, eg a deepfried Twinkie. As long as we’re being critical Anthony how about cleaning up your language. The “Bleeper” works overtime on your show.

Bourdain’s take on Guy Fietti(sp) is pretty funny. Poochy from the Simpsons. And I even like that diners show.

A funny lib picking on helpless lib sheep from the food network? At least he is being honest, which is different from the usual crap one normally gets.

I've watched both Rae and Deen for years, but I doubt that I've cooked more than two or three things from their shows. Their shows are for entertainment, not a guide for eating. Bourdain admits he loves bone marrow dishes and fois gras, but I doubt he eats them every day. Same for the food shown by Rae and Deen.

Thought Bourdain buried the hatchet with Ray as well at one point.

Enjoyed his show for a while but have tired of it. Have no interest at all in who he considers to be a real chef.

I know decadent food vs. healthy food and am well aware how to eat and when I can splurge, without help from Tony, or Jamie Oliver for that matter..

Butter is better Paula is correct about that. If I am going to make something for the Holidays I always use it.

Bordain went the Czechoslovaia and helped PEASANTS make sausages by hand, cook them immediately and sit around in a backyard drinking beer and eating them by hand. Most of his shows don’t involve actual chefs, just locals and local cooking.

He can be a prick, though.

The only time I really like Bourdain’s “No Reservation’s” is when he’s somewhere in Eastern Europe or the old Soviet Block countries and the hard-drinking, Russian guy (Zamir? Shamir?) is with him. That guy makes the show, drinking a couple bottles of Vodka at ever stop and always having some crazy money making scheme. They need to dump Bourdain and give that guy the show.

“Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn. To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living. Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food. The body, these waterheads imagine, is a temple that should not be polluted by animal protein. It’s healthier, they insist, though every vegetarian waiter I’ve worked with is brought down by any rumor of a cold. Oh, I’ll accommodate them, I’ll rummage around for something to feed them, for a ‘vegetarian plate’, if called on to do so. Fourteen dollars for a few slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini suits my food cost fine.” From Kitchen Confidential, p. 70.

Ever see his episode where he ate the wild things and shot serious rounds down range with Ted Nugent?

He looked like a ballerina at a cage fight.

Both of them are liberals. Let them eat each other.

BTW, what has Bourdain ever done? Chef at Brasserie Les Halles? Big deal. A half-a$$ed pseudo-French diner attached to a butcher shop.

He's nobody in the real culinary world.

He and MO are such busy bodies, giving advice when it’s not welcome. I can’t stand to watch this creep eating disgusting food to foist multiculturalism on us.

Tell me how can you eat any healthier than all-natural ingredients like butter, cream, potatoes and salt? The problem is not the ingredients, but simply eating too much or snacking between meals.

Paula Deen comes right back at Bourdain in today’s Page Six in the NY Post. Bourdain also slammed Rachel Ray, Cuomo’s live in lover and Guy Fieri. To me Bourdain is kind of creepy and very smug and superior. I’d much rather have a beer with any of the above names mentioned than Bourdain. Hey, but everyone has their own preferences.

I would love to see the calorie count for each dish at a high-end restaurant. If you had an app, salad, soup, entree, and dessert with a drink, wine and coffee.

"She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations, and she's proud of the fact that her food is f--king bad for you,"

Sounds like this commie lib is jealous.
