“”I don’t care about Google that much; in fact, this experience has prompted me to use Dogpile more.”

I seldom use Dogpile any more, although I was an early advocate. I now use IXQ because I like it’s security and privacy policies. Go here, and click on either IXQUICK or “private” to view their policies;

http://www.ixquick.com/

“Ixquick’s position:

You have a right to privacy.
Your search data should never fall into the wrong hands.
The only real solution is quickly deleting your data or not storing them to begin with.
Since January 2009 we do not record our users’ IP addresses anymore.
Your personal data are not shared with any third party.
We are the first and only search engine to do so.
Since then we have added many other features that protect your privacy.
Our initiative is receiving an overwhelmingly positive response!”

Another search engine that respects its users privacy is duckduckgo.com.

From their privacy policy:
"DuckDuckGo does not collect or share personal information. That is our privacy policy in a nutshell. "
