I could swear I heard Lynne Rosetto Kasper (NPR SORRY) say she found a place that served Lutefisk Pizza.

Although not bizarre, fried okra is awesome.

Live anchovies (yes, the poor god's creatures were still were alive, but that's how the natives
liked them, what could I do?!) was weird enough for me, thank you!

Tomato sauce, top with popcorn and Raisenettes, cover with yellow processed American cheese, top with rasberry preserves.

But, what do I know?

Pretty much a stick in the mud on this one. Too much variance and all you have is SOS.

I knew a place in Austin called “Morty’s Pizza King” which advertised 1000s of combinations of pizza toppings, pretty much anything you could think of to put on top of a pizza crust.

The most peculiar were peanut butter and asparagus.

However, Morty wouldn’t make the exotic ones except in a large size, so you had to find other people to go in with you unless you knew you’d like the flavor enough to take it home.

Morty’s went out of business a long time ago but I lament that I never got a chance to try some of the more crazy combinations.

Nothing more bizarre than anchovies belong on a pizza. Once you add all that other stuff, it isn’t pizza any more.

It’s not exactly a bizarre topping, but there’s a place in Brooklyn that does deep-fried pizza.
