I just felt a hard jolt. The whole house shook. It felt something like a hard bump. My whole family felt it.
Anybody else in North Texas feel it?

Sitting right here in Dallas at my computer ... no tremors. This is a pretty inactive area for that; I’m guessing what you felt was something else.

Sonic boom maybe? nothing on USGS. Interesting. We didn't hear a boom. I've experienced them many times, and know what they sound like.
There'd have to be some real national emergency for military jets to be breaking the sound barrier over DFW.
Nothing on USGS, huh? I'm baffled. The whole family definitely felt it.

We were down in the British Virgin Isles about six years ago, walking on a beach and the entire ground moved underneath us. A strong move, it shook us up big time. We hadn't even been drinking, and we thought the world was coming to an end. It was spooky. We never read anything about the phenomenon.
Luckily there was two of us.......

This is a pretty inactive area for that; Im guessing what you felt was something else. Damn if I know what it was. I'm originally from SoCal, so I'm very familiar with ground movement. Perplexing.

I imagine it’s pretty dry up there where you live, could have been some subsidence kicking in big time in your immediate area.

Scouts honor, I haven’t had a drop of anything tonight (although I just might, now).
Funny thing is, we didn’t hear a sound, so.....I have no idea.
I just checked, and my desk is out of its normal position. And this sucker is heavy, too.

Are there any propane tank farms in or near your municipality?
What you are describing is sounds very much like what we experienced some time ago when a propane tank farm blew up. The site of the explosion was over ten miles from our home. My dad at first thought that someone had driven a car into the side of our house.
