As I've never had the pleasure of PANNOKOKEN I think today should be the day! :)
And, if jaycee doesn't mind, I'll be seated with her for the company.
Thank you kindly!
Good MORNING JOHNN!!!!!!!
So glad to start out with the Steak and Spuds!
A warm cup of coffee will finish it off.
LOVE the sunrise!
Room for one more at your table with Jaycee, Old Teen? ....
The Dutch pancake is HUGE. It comes to the table all puffed up and then it slowly deflates. topped and eaten hot their a delight.
You will find her at the table by the window just to the left of the fireplace. I’ll get a fresh pot of coffee for the table and join you.
Steak and spuds it is.
By the way, save room for the cinnamon rolls
just got a new batch out of the oven.
And I will be thrilled sitting with teenie!! I’m getting hungrier and hungrier...LOL!
Make yourselves at home! We're all family!
Breakfast/Brunch is made to share! And, we all know, Johnn is a wonderful host! :) (And a great chef!)
I just want to say thank you for your prayers on behalf of my dear sister Marilyn.
I trust God completely to restore my sister to health or in His Divine providence take her to Glory.
Here is a brief account of the last two days.
Monday I was called in by my sister Barbara ( there are 6 of us girls), as it appeared Marilyn was on her last. We prayed and sat with her. I felt impelled to call her Bible study leader who is a Nigerian Bible student studying right now for his doctorate in the states. He came and brought another Nigerian pastor friend.
Both pastors prayed for sister, and we left her in God's Hands....
Pastor Emmanuel kept saying that " God is the God of impossible circumstances".
Monday night we said our goodbyes. Sister had a night nurse sitting with her.
At 3am my dear sister Marilyn started " humming" and then spoke! She told the night nurse " to Pray".
When her son came into the room yesterday morning with a cup of coffee, her first words, upon the smell of coffee were " I want some coffee". She has started swallowing again, talked all day to us yesterday, although some was incoherent.
When my one sister Barbara, who is going through chemo treatments for cancer, said " Marilyn, this is almost like a miracle, Marilyn said infatically " NO"...it isn't almost like a miracle...it IS a miracle."
I cant and do not want to second guess God, but for yesterday, I spent a wonderful day with my sister. Thought you all would like to know! Phillipians 4:19
Polly, I’m sure Johnn will seat us all together this morning! And its good to see you here today. We have a lot of catching up to do!
Oh I think he actually loves the kitty....LOL!
Miracles do happen...more than we know!
I am so glad you had a good day with your sister, Marilyn. We love for them to do what they can as long as they’re here. She is in God’s hands now and we have no say, even though we never give up on prayer!
I have a little story to share. My DIL, Gwen, called this morning to tell me they had moved her cousin Misti, to Hospice. About 7 or 8 years ago she had breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy and did well. Then just recently, they found cancer in her liver and she’s been in the hospital for about 8 days. They put in a feeding tube and had her on a breathing machine. On Monday, they took out the breathing machine and yesterday wanted to put it back and she managed to tell them no, she didn’t want that anymore. Of course, she worsened and is now in Hospice.
She is only 40 and has 2 young sons, age 11 and 13. Her family is having a hard time dealing with this. These are things that are hard for me to understand...to be so young and has to leave her family. I have been sad all morning since Gwen called me. I am praying for this little sweet family.
I'm sure he does...he just doesn't want to say it to the world! lol
I’ll put Marilyn on the church prayer list, never too many prayers! she’s already in my personal prayers, as are you.
It's heartbreaking what a lot of families are going through and trying to make any sense of it is impossible. My prayers are with the entire family.
