Staff at an animal charity have named an abandoned kitten "Kitler" - because she bears an uncanny resemblance to the Nazi leader.
The six-week-old cat - which was abandoned at the roadside - earned the moniker because of her distinctive black moustache.
Staff at Wood Green animal shelter in Godmanchester, Cambs., say they are struggling to find her a loving home because of her unusual markings.

I think it's a clever name, but the first name that pops into my mind is "Smudge."
Cute kitty that will be adopted quickly after that article.

That Web site was the first thing that popped into my mind too. They really run with the Kitler motif.

I had a big black tuxedo kitty come to live with me for a while. The was very black, with four white feet and a white chest and tummy ... and a white smudge under his nose on his upper ‘lipe’ I called him GM, for ‘got milk’? Very nice kitty. I miss him.

“Whoever at the animal shelter that named that poor thing “Kitler” and started to promote that “resemblance” is a complete idiot.”
SO TRUE!! I have seen this time and again in shelters where dogs will be named “Toughie” and “Gangster” and because some clueless Neanderthal stuck a name on them that projected an unfriendly image to the public the animal would get passed over for adoption time and time again. And just like here the shelter employees just couldn’t understand why!! Idiots indeed.

Knew a couple that named their sweet, timid female kitteh, Spike. They thought it would help her self esteem. ;o)

Well, at least it’s better than hanging a horrible name on an animal you’re trying to get adopted! Hopefully Spike was much loved and knew it! :))

Kitteh’s going to take over the world one day. Watch out that she doesn’t purr anyone to death!
