How do you know they had not already planned to stop the showings there?

Why are you trumpeting this? Why are you so eager to share this with Evening Star (bless his heart)?

Sounds to me like you are unintentionally helping the anti Palins here.

Why would you want to spread a story like this, someone that was thinking of going may say...what`s the point, and it seems to me you have nothing to base your claim...

you say it now APPEARS they have pulled the plug, maybe it was only going to be an initial showing, like they did in other locations IOWA comes to mind

I **discretely** posted my concerns about this on a few old threads about "The Undefeated" -- to a few FReepers whose opinions I value.

When I posted by concerns initially, I only had CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence - from movietickets.com.

I now have very good confimnation of this sad news by e-mail.

However, as of this moment, I still have yet to see anything about this posted on the Internet.

I do not know specifically what the marketing folks PLANNED to do...

...but I **do** know what the ANNOUNCED they would do...

No mention that AMC theaters were planning to stop showings at the original ten/fourteen theaters, when they added the new four.

I suppose that you **could** "parse" the words in this most recent press release -- in a "Clintonian" legalistic manner -- so that they can claim that they weren't really LYING about their plans.

Our side, however, should be better than this.

I would have preferred if they would have stated openly that there would be a "rolling release" of the film -- with showings for only a week or two at each location.

That certainly may have been their INTENT, but it was not what they allowed many of us to IMPLY, apparently incorrectly.
