It is unconscionable that extremist groups circulate letters which accuse me of horrific things, saying that I am a traitor, that POWs in Hanoi were tied up and in chains and marched passed me while I spat at them and called them baby killers. These letters also say that when the POWs were brought into the room for a meeting I had with them, we shook hands and they passed me tiny slips of paper on which they had written their social security numbers. Supposedly, this was so that I could bring back proof to the U.S. military that they were alive. The story goes on to say that I handed these slips of paper over to the North Vietnamese guards and, as a result, at least one of the men was tortured to death.
That these stories could be given credence shows how little people know of the realities in North Vietnam prisons at the time. The U.S. government and the POW families didnt need me to tell them who the prisoners were. They had all their names. Moreover, according to even the most hardcore senior officers, torture stopped late in 1969, two and a half years before I got there. And, most importantly, I would never say such things to our servicemen, whom I respect, whether or not I agree with the mission they have been sent to perform, which is not of their choosing.
But these lies have circulated for almost forty years, continually reopening the wound of the Vietnam War and causing pain to families of American servicemen. The lies distort the truth of why I went to North Vietnam and they perpetuate the myth that being anti-war means being anti-soldier.

Donald Sutherland is possessed at 2:36 of that trailer. I’m not joking.
Well, glad to see Jane waste no time in clearing this up.
BTW Jane, two weeks is not a tour it’s a vacation. A working vacation perhaps?
Please stop this comparison. You are demeaning all the ignorant sluts out there. Jane knew what she was doing.
She's as pro-communist today as she was then. See my earlier posts on this thread.
REPORTER 1: Jane, who are you voting for?
REPORTER 2: Who gets your vote?
FONDA: Obama.
REPORTER 2: Oh, my God. Heaven help us all.
RUSH: The reporter for TMZ said, "Oh, God. Heaven help us all." Obviously the reporter is an Obama supporter.

Code Pink 'Bundles' for Barack, 4/14/2008
"The co-founder of the radical anti-war group Code Pink [Jodie Evans] has bundled more than $50,000 for Sen. Barack Obamas presidential campaign, and pro-troops groups are demanding that he return the money."

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:
"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

Fonda made the following statement at the University of Texas:
"We've got to establish a Socialist economic structure that will limit private profit-oriented businesses. Whether the transition is peaceful depends on the way our present governmental leaders react. We must commit our lives to this transition ...... We should be very proud of our new breed of soldier. It's not organized but it's mutiny, and they have every right." --Karen Elliott Dallas Morning News December 11, 1971

Obama Funder 'Jodie Evans' In White House Visitor Log days after Code Pink Hamas Trip
by Kristinn Taylor and Andrea Shea King
The most contemptible part of her post is where she comes within a hair’s breadth of suggesting that the US prisoners who were tortured deserved it in some sense because they were “recalcitrant”. I can’t believe she actually left that part in.
She has finally awakened to the fact that we will never forgive or forget what she did.
Trying to revise her actions will not work. She is a moral leper and will be that way even after she dies.
Here we Americans are 40 years later actually getting a taste of socialism from another anti-American named Obama, and we despise it. It gags us. It tastes horrible. It stinks. It is the economic system of communism.
I prefer to starve or even be jobless before I will accept the evil fruits of socialists, progressives, liberals or democrats. I will die with any illness before I will enroll in Obamacare. I resist them with all my heart. I just want to be a free man in a free America.
Resist the traitor Fonda. Nothing she can do now can make right the evil treachery she did then.
Likewise our other socialist; nothing he can do now will un-do the evil he has inflicted on this once-great country. He too will be tossed on the junk-pile of history as the worst president ever.
History will show he set out to destroy America and he did massive damage to the Republic.
Save some for John F. Kerry who slandered our people in front of Congress with his lies.
Oh, I don't know... I think Hanoi Jane reached the apex of her career in her role in Barbarella. It seems to me that her career defining role was when she defeated the sex machine, smoked that critter for sure! Now, gotta tell ya, that was some great acting... She should have got an Oscar for that!
If you hadn’t gone to N Vietnam, you wouldn’t have this problem. Oh yes, you would because you were a commie lover. Don’t try to change history now!
Is that what happened? QVC kicked her butt to the curb? LMAO!
These remarks ar mealy-mouthed and purely self serving. Take this lesson from Jane Fonda: She is what we sound like when we refuse to humble ourselves and admit fault. She remains now as she thought of herself sitting on that gun that day-ALWAYS right.
Some will piss on her grave.
She’s lying that it was not a big story when she first arrived from North Viet Nam. She gave a press conference that was full (she was a MOVIE STAR) of press reporters and she acted like La Passioniara (pardon my spelling).
If you read between the lines (and her book), she blames Tom Haydon over and over again for making the arrangements for the trip (which he cynically refused to do himself).
She’s a liar and a traitor - get over it, Jane.
her explanation makes her looks as bad as the internet rumors.
“I began to cry and clap. These young men should not be our enemy. They celebrate the same words Americans do.”
Celebreties certainly are deep thinkers.
What Jane doesn't "get" is that visiting Vietnam as a guest of their government and rallying enemy troops as she did makes her a traitor. She's entitled to her opinion of disagreement and in America she had every right to voice it, loud and proud. The moment she crossed that border and started speaking out against her Country, she committed treason. She gave comfort to the enemy.
