Dexter?
Have another beer, Joe. Is that 9 or 10 today?
I see you are an attorney or a Prosecutor - but then that can be pretty much the same thing. The only difference is the Prosecutor has political connections - and/or ambitions.
She may be a combo case. It was clear that she planned this in detail, “Need More Time”.
The Prosecution certainly needed to delve into her psychology more. A case could easily be made for forced commitment it would seem.
The jury just didn’t want to spend any time on it. They could have drawn up charts, then X out the lies. One side would have been completely X’d out.
I think 2nd degree was a stretch but Manslaughter was a gimmie according to the judges instructions.
1st and 2nd had to prove that she did it. Manslaughter only required proof that the child was dead proof that she was involved. End of story.
Actually, I haven’t had one in 8 years. Stay classy.
It certainly can. The offer was to check how long you last appropriate taped so you can't breathe.
The real difference is that when you get picked up for a DUI, you go running to your "attorney", when a drunk driver kills your daughter, you go running to the prosecutor.
That's one of the big reasons why you shouldn't lie about why your kid is missing. When the kid finally gets found that little lie is going to be revealed.
We dont want her here in Florida & please take Jose Baez with you.
Don’t worry, she won’t be there long - hollywood is calling - at least till they have sucked the last bit of usefulness out of her then will kick her to the side.
You mean to tell me there is NO other news in the nation/world that is vaguely more important than some
party girl doing stupid things that result in unintended consequences to an innocent?
There was nothing the media could count on on a daily basis to deliver shock value without much effort. Now it is back to work finding the real news.
Listening to Hannity this afternoon, I'd think Sean wouldn't be past a shack-up relationship with him. Sean's been gushing over Baez pretty much his whole show.
It is clear to me that a good many folks on FR would not want me on their jury.
This cold blooded bitch murdered her 2 year old daughter and got away with it. It was a premeditated murder and this dead soul should have received the death penalty.
Our system of justice system is the greatest in the world, but occasionally, it still sucks. Today, it sucks.
Why would Casey have been giving chloroform to Caylee unless she was trying to kill her?
. Maybe the father was watching the kid and it drowned and they conspired to get rid of the body
That wouldn't excuse duct-taping mouth and burying her. If you do that, I don't care if it was a accident, you still deserve to be charged with murder.
There never was a case.....good verdict for a bad trial.
Remember the courts do not judge us, our peers do
I'd LOVE to hear their side of the story.
Personally, I thought no way the state presented enough evidence to convict for capital murder one, but I thought as probably many people did they would convict her of a lesser charge
This case was prosecuted badly from start to finish and the burden is always on the prosecution, as it should be.
Feelings and guesses don’t count. Evidence counts. It is what we would all demand if we were accused of a heinous crime.
Maybe the next time someone calls about something suspicious, as the lineman did in August, the police will do something other than glance around for five minutes then yell at the caller and berate him for wasting their precious time.
Maybe the next time, the body won’t have sat there from August through December and tissue will be available for testing.
Even if she accidentally overdosed Caylee on chloroform, she would still be guilty of depraved heart murder (reckless conduct which shows a complete indifference to human life) as opposed to involuntary manslaughter.
And, how many murderers have been convicted without eyewitness testimony.
She Googled chloroform 84 times and it was in the truck of her car with evidence of a decomposed body.
