So What!!
This stupid story has dominated the news for weeks!
You mean to tell me there is NO other news in the nation/world that is vaguely more important than some
party girl doing stupid things that result in unintended consequences to an innocent?
At this point, I don’t care if they terminate her with extreme prejudice.

Another good point. Judge Napolitano pointed that out this morning, along with the failure of the Judge to block admitting evidence which personally attacked her characater but failed to have nay bearing on the charges. Napolitano said that alone would have resulted in an appeal had she been guilty of anything.

Also, probably not a good idea for prosecutors to guffaw during the defense attorney’s summation.

I couldn’t agree more. I wasn’t there, and I didn’t try it, but it seemed like the Prosecutors were caught a bit off guard. That’s always a tough one to call because sometimes they know their cases are weak and do the best with what they have.

It just always renews my faith in the system when I see jurors who take it seriously.

There was an opportunity to vote for a lesser charge....manslaughter, and she was found “Not Guilty” of that charge also.

I believe it was negligent homicide...she drugged her baby so she could go out , and accidentally overdosed her.

She could have drowned. There was no soft tissue left to indicate real cause of death.

There was lots of circumstantial evidence in Scott Peterson’s case. No one opened the morning drapes, People saw him loading a shape like the body into his car, he rented the boat and was seen with the bundle out on the water, the cement weights; there was a ticket stub there somewhere. Can’t remember it all but in his case you could put together the steps to dispose of the body.

Not so in this case. Do I think she taped the mouth, gave her choloroform to kill her, put her in a bag, into the trunk until it started to smell? Yes I do. In fact, I think she killed the little girl to punish her Mama and Daddy (she moved out and was mad at them). But there is Zero evidence to find Casey Anthony guilty. Unfortunately.

I sat on a jury once for a murder trial. There was no doubt that he did it. He admitted as much.

But we thought it was a clear-cut case of self-defense, and we let him go.

To get a murder conviction, they have to PROVE murder. They failed to do so.

The baby dies a horrible death yet she will end up with a million dollar book deal.

And a reality show. But, she will go through life only to mingle with the scum of the world because no one else will befriend her, marry her or even acknowledge her. She is an outcast. She has nowhere to hide and no one to console her. She is on her own for the rest of her life. No money, booze, drugs can change that. Party on, Casey, this is what you wanted.

he decision to bring charges always starts with the prosecutor. Good prosecutors do not bring cases to trial that they cannot win.

I think your scenario is the most probable.

Biggest waste of time and energy ever. Anything to keep the masses in a dumbed-down stupor (the trial and copious amounts of drugs and psychiatry, poisons in the air and water, etc.).

I guess it is better than the guilty get away rather than the innocent suffer, unless of course she ends up killing someone else, which she well may.

Remember OJ. He just ended up in jail for another crime, because as Agatha Christie always said, true murderers are arrogant.

On the bright side, OJ seems to have had a great life since then. My guess is Anthony will have the same joy - the sheriff right now is warning people not to target the Anthonys!

Need to prove “beyond a reasonable doubt”. That’s the job of the presecutors. They failed.

Duct tape was apparently found on a skull, where do you get mouth and nose? There was no mouth and nose because of decomposition. The crime scene / swamp scene was handled so poorly that there was more than a reasonable doubt that there was even duct tape attached to the skull.

And, even in this life yet. If Casey did murder this little girl, just like OJ, somewhere down he road, she will pay - one way or the other. And, not just in the after life.
