Good morning! It is a new month and a new thread! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Fourth of July, celebrating the founding of these United States, a glorious experiment in world government.
The National March by Sousa, conducted by Bernstein
May God bless America again.
Because of ya’ll I have learned to eat instant grits, at my age any and everything I do is to make sure it is fast and easy.
Toby
I hope those grits were tasty this morning! Our weather has been alternating between sunny and hot and rainy. We had a very good gulley-washer here yesterday. So much so that I need to replace some of the mulch in my rose garden. A lot of it got washed down the drive to the front lawn.
My azaleas are big and growing and I’m enjoying the blooms on some of my encore azaleas now. I love blooming things.
I’ve been there and have done that. I don’t hear door bells, knocks or phones.
I had Doc appointments today, Dr’s needed car payments, but did get to go to wallmart for some goodies.
I am STILL trying to get into new site, somthing very simple
I am not doing but will keep trying.
Better do a little shack cleaning, won’t take long.
Toby
Good evening everybody. I have been busy helping with clearing and cutting wood and.....JUNIPER (ugh!).... off the property, not enough energy at the end of the day to post much. But things are well.....temps are cool here....and God is good.
The other day when pulling juniper (ugh!) I was pulling hard and as it sometimes does, it released all of a sudden and I went over backward.
Of course I was standing on a slope which made it worse and while I was tumbling head-over-apple-cart all I could think of was you, John and think to myself. “I hope there isn’t a sharp stump that I’ll land on”. Luckily, I rolled with the fall and no harm was done.
We are finished with the juniper (ugh!) though. Mr. Prairie rented a Bobcat and that has made ALL the difference. Now we are working on falling dead trees and limbs. We won’t finish this year but we made a heckuva dent in it.
I have the same trouble. I wear hearing aides but heck, when I’m in the kitchen and the tv is on in there and the living room I don’t hear squat. My friends just come on in, but I have a note on the door and at our local Fed EX and UPS to just leave whatever behind the screen door and I’ll eventually find it.
Yay! Best not to bust internal organs in a slip-fall.
Funny you mention that. Kiddo (64) across the street said my recounting of the tale was nightmare material. I never saw it as that.
Waking up with a Navajo woman in charge didn't change my opinion, until I said yatahe... And then she explained me how I would live.
Not much different from what I was raised with... Be good, be right. be strong.
It could have been worse, I could have woke up speaking russian. spacebo, tovarich.... etc....

It’s good you’re healing and spunky, again. How goes your garden. I’m still getting tomatoes and okra, but the rest is gone.
Good morning! I have a bit of paperwork and reports to do today. Then, I begin to work on some embroidery for my MOB dress.
Jtill, I’m in your area for the next week.
I’m available for most of the week - a few hinky things here and there, but most of the week is clear. Give me a call and let’s get together.
Americans want independent access to the space station. The muslim WILL take the fall for this when more and more of them realize that it was on 'his watch' that we lost this key position in world power that we have enjoyed since it all began.
I have the song from the 60's, "Telstar" by The Astronauts, on my mp3 player and it came on as I rode my bike out from work today, and my throat got real tight and tears flowed.
I feel so helpless to stop this monster and his annihilation of our culture, our society and our Constitution.
Dear God, please help us. Amen.
I just saw on FB, that Toby has passed away. Rest in peace, dear Brother.
See the post above from SBC ...
RIP Toby. Love you forever.
Thank you for sharing that with us.
This is a sad day.
My brother, I will miss you so much. I have enjoyed your stories for these many years. I was going to nag my husband into heading into the gulf this fall so we could finally meet. That will now be held off until Jesus calls me home or until Christ returns.
I take comfort knowing that you are walking more intimately now with Our Savior than before. You have set us an example which will be hard to emulate. Tell Treva “hello” for us. I look forward to meeting her soon.
Jim Robinson, I looked for Toby’s obit in the paper, but it is too soon. As soon as I can, I’ll send you the details so Gulfcoast6 can be added to the Freeper Memorial Wall.
Rest in Peace, Dear Brother!

Thank you for the ping Neets.
I can’t believe Toby is gone - he just posted on Thursday.
I knew he had quite a few health problems.Hopefully, it was a quick passing. He was such a dear man!
I’m so sorry. Prayers up.
