It can be "proved" even with just circumstantial evidence...not necessarily direct evidence.

Yes it can. And it wasn't. Just my opinion.

I won't be disappointed if she is convicted, but I won't be at all surprised if she is acquitted on the murder charges.

A hung jury is the most likely outcome though, because of the high emotion and the confusion and complexity of the evidence.

I really don't want to argue about it -- it's just my opinion.

Doing a drive by here — Is Baez court appointed? If not who is paying his fees? They must be astronomical after all this time.

Hello truthkeeper....Yes, Judge Perry was exceptional in this case. No-nonesense and to the point. Even a softer side which which was apparent at various moments. Just very level headed ...and focused...I couldn’t imagine anything getting by him. IMO he’s been seeking the truth to come out throughout this trial.

I liked him a lot, too. He did go out of his way to be fair and was exceptionally mindful of the jury and the time this case was taking out of their lives. And I always sort of giggled when he told the jury to see if "the dessert lady" was there on break.

“”I’m predicting we get a verdict late Wednesday morning..about 11am..””

I would agree that it’s not going to be a quick verdict...but no good at guessing just when. Perhaps you’re right.

BALONEY. This case had both substantial amounts of DIRECT and CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence.
Tell the truth, just how closely did you watch this trial??

You are right Truth. I watch both the Scott Peterson and Muchael Peterson. Both circumstantial..both convicted 1 st degree BTW anyone remember Srawberry Shortcake??? All were so worried she would hang the jury

Truth keeper, you cannot let posters, who admit to not having followed the trial and yet bloviating with certainty as to an outcome, give you pause. There may be all sorts of wildcards on the jury, but unlike the ignorant opiners on this thread, jurors will have heard and have access to all of the evidence. Just roll your eyes at those on this thread who declare definitively an outcome.

In this case; it’s nice. However, there are some nice sounding phrases only a southerner would know when used to run away as fast as you can. They hate you. LOL I believe when my great uncle remarried; his new wife told me I was just as cute as I could be. She hated me.

Jury selection is done by the attorneys before the trial in the voir dire. It’s not the judge’s place now to ask who thinks they can/can’t judge another.

This is a death penalty certified jury. They’ve already been asked all these questions. Apparently one who did get on said it’s up to God to judge. Each side is permitted only so many strikes from among the jury pool.

That's exactly right....so Casey will have to "pay for what happened" but the degree of is what's at stake. I can't imagine the jury not convicting her, however stranger things have happened.

In my mind she'll likely get at the most 25 yrs. considering time already served, or at the least 4 years. Second only to walking.

If found guilty where do you think she'll serve her sentence?, haven't heard anything about this yet.

I watched enough to form an opinion, just like you did. See my #482, and have a great Independence Day.

LOL, I do. BTW, is that the same one they called "Pinky," or was that from a different trial? I watch so many I get the jurors mixed up sometimes.

I wanted to see some drama about a plea bargain at the last minute. I don’t think the defense could have gone after it and I don’t think the prosecution has EVER offered it but it would have been fun to watch...

“Your Honor..my client would like to throw herself on the mercy of the court.”

“OK - you can take her to the top floor and I’ll accept that. The bailiff will take her to the elevator.”

I believe George has, but Cindy wants justice but is torn between justice for Caylee and being accused of not loving her daughter.

I don’t excuse Cindy, but I think she is the type that hates to think her daughter is who she is and that maybe a little of it might be her fault. Cindy seems like a perfectionist that wants people to look at her and see perfect. To her, this whole thing has ripped her little world to shreds. You could see that by her reaction to media very early on in this ordeal.

As someone said earlier, there are no winners here. Everyone loses and life will never be the same for anyone that is involved.
