Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.
I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.
I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.
Let me know if you want on or off the ping list.
As someone who has testified for the prosecution many times, I unfortunately have seen jurors come out with out of this world decisions. My overall fear is that there will be one or more jurors that will get tied up on small, non important details presented by Baez and that will sway them.
Also, you might have a juror that just “feels” for this woman and cannot convict. At that point, you have a hung jury and it’s back to square one.
Finally, my hope is that they will look at the actual evidence presented by the state and see that although Baez has thrown everything including the kitchen sink at them, he basically did not have a defense.
We shall see.
The whole family belongs on Jerry Springer.
My eyes roll completely out of my head when you play legal expert, as you know....; )
You have exactly stated my fears. It’s great to have your expertise.
...and all from a gal who believes she has all the answers to living a good life. Not to mention the many other peoples life's she has left behind or under the path her feet have tread. And yes, Casey has basically bankrupted her family in every way.
When did George lie? You could only believe that if you could believe that strange publicity seeker who said she had a relationship with him. I do not think anybody could believe her.
How did George know about the car at Amscott for 3 days.
Two sets of car keys are the norm.
I think the family, already fractured at every corner, will indeed go their seperate ways. But maybe George, for the first time in his life will find some peace getting away from it all. At least he has fessed up that he did not take a stand against his family’s behavior and that which he thought best for years. Rather they snuffed out his voice and he conceded time and again...so he will carry this burden for life.
OK George had a set. That is important. But how did he know the car was at Amscott 3 days.
Thank you.
After this Baez will be lucky to get a job selling used cars..Would you buy a car from him lol
Have you been listening to the closings? Fascinating stuff.
I should have called on you earlier to put patton in his place. LOL
We shall see
According to a CNN Headline News commentator in the courtroom, some on this jury aren’t even paying attention. It could be, GOD FORBID, a hung jury! Two the the jurors during jury selection said they couldn’t judge people.
The impound man swears he told him. George is the proven liar. Assume the impound man is not lying. Then how did George know. And why would he lie about it?
Did he know?
They already have made up their mind. Most always do so prior to closing arguments. They want to go home. The media is scared because they were ignoring the media Obama of the Bar. Ashton. I could not bear to watch him myself.
