Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.
I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.
I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.

It might not if it is an acquittal. Something no one wants to contemplate. The thing is that is not being reported. Baez has the jury. They are the only ones that count.

You could be right, but all the raised voice screeching about the State not having any evidence was pathetic - I hope the jury isn’t that stupid.
B ut if I were on the jury, I would aquit.
The state has not proven that she killed her daughter. End of story.

IMO, that’s all the prosecution needs to say in wrapping this up tomorrow! Someone needs to say that Caylee would be 6 years old in one more month - having finished kindergarden, getting ready for the 1st grade. So pitiful and sad....
I have a 2 1/2 year old grandson - our first and probably only one. I cannot imagine the sorrow of losing that delightful little child.

I had two in the “terrible” 2’s at the same time. I have never been that tired in my life. Full time job at the same time. Gawd I’m getting exhausted just thinking about it.

I am so torn. From all the evidence I would too. But what about lying to police? I think I would go for 1 count and let them sort it out. She was detained before any thing went on. Never given the lame Miranda....A citizen should know but beside the point. I hate technicalities. But to me it seems the state is relying on technicalities to stop the defense???? Role reversal? Not good. As far as the death. Well I am guilty because I have seen it coming for 30 years and really done not enough to stop it. This family is a product of our culture. Awful.

AND that the trunk of the car DID have a dead body in it? Was that a slip up or what? He wants it both ways. Stains in the trunk couldn’t have come from human decomposition?? Is he not paying attention to his own words?

I think she was thinking about a “solution” to her dependency..I think she thought about killing her parents, too...but planning wasn’t her strong suit...as in body disposal planning when Caylee was dead...as in how she was going to keep it hidden from her family that Caylee was dead...
Short term solution to a problem of the day landed her on trial for murder.
Her lies to her friends, to her parents, and to herself are simply astounding.
She is one cold cookie .
It would be in your pings. it was towards the latter part of the day, at least post 700 and up. That is where I’d start looking.
One thing is for sure. That little girl died at the hands of her mother. She didn’t drown and George was not involved. Cindy’s lies were no help to Casey. All that did was prove that Cindy knew her daughter was guilty. Sad part is if Cindy lied to prove to Casey that she loved her, Casey won’t care and will blame her for getting caught lying.
I don’t think the jury will be that stupid. Even if Casey doesn’t get death, the prosecution will have won if her wretched behind ends up behind bars for a long long time.

That’s my daughter...she can’t seem to get enough rest. I told her from the beginning to nap when the baby naps. But she can only see the work that needs to be done. We’re only about 15 minutes away from her so she’s able to bring him over for a few hours which allows her to just sit and relax or catch up. It’s a great joy to have him....We’re in our middle ‘70’s so it’s pretty challenging to keep up with him.
I don’t remember it being like this with her and I was the same age when she was born (middle 30’s) but she was a girl...I didn’t know boys could have so much energy!! WHEW! His favorite word now is “outside?” as he runs to get his shoes and hands them to us. How can we resist?
Beaz is grasping at anything he can to throw off the Jury. He had nothing at all - a liar claiming both her father and brother molested her, or tried to, yet didn’t bother to even ask her brother. He wants the jury to focus on the disfunction in the family and forget a child is dead. He keeps harping on the roll of duct tape when every person in that family had access to the roll. What difference does it make that it belonged to George? I have an open roll and three more in the garage. I don’t make my husband or son come to me and ask permission to use the tape? If Casey used it on Caylee and left it in the garage/shed/house then George used it, big deal! Yet Jose is wanting to be Johnny Cochran and say “follow the duct tape!” What a joke
No can do. What is the answer? Did George have a way to know? Really this is important. How?
