They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
And it definitely seems to be the case with this pooch who was kissed and cuddled by her owner as she bagged the title of the World's Ugliest Dog. In the dog-eat-dog world of contests Yoda managed to wow judges at a Northern Californian fair on Friday with her short tufts of hair, protruding tongue and long hairless legs.

From the way these contests run, I think it is safe to say the jury says “Chinese Cresteds” are the ugliest dog species.
For a CC, she’s absolutely adorable!
Some of them look like they’ve been exposed to waaaaay too much radiation.
This sweetie isn’t one of them.
Although I am sure the dog is sweet...

Pretty ugly, but no dog will ever match that wonderfully wretched creature who won it a few years ago — the one with the cataracts and the warts and the demonic scowl. That guy was kind of the canine version of the Crypt Keeper.
