In his speech tonight, Obama brought up Libya and how the U.S. must chart a course that is not isolationist, nor interventionist, but a middle course where our coalition partners (NATO) would be involved.
So if we together with our NATO partners are involved it isn't interventionism? How so? Has Obama explained how Libya was a threat to our national security? If we must respond to other NATO partners request for military assistance, has the president explained how Libya threatened any of our NATO partners national securitty?
It is reported that before this war broke out that we were getting involved because Ghadifi planned to massacre civilians, but it was also reported that Ghadifi had planned to nationalize the oil resources in Libya and that most of Libya's oil went to one European nation in particular.
What say you?
I say that the term 'moderate', or its many cousins, is the father of disaster.
And, this is a surprise to whom??
Cannot watch, uncomfortable when someone lies to your face
Its a moderately kinetic middle course caused by the previous administration.

“Is interventionism by any other name still the same? “
Oh, but world government is oh-so OK.
Yes, Obama thinks he can redefine reality
Obama’s speech was mostly about Afghanistan, but the drawdown speech was partly to buy breathing room for what Obama is doing with Libya.
He was just reading from the teleprompter
The loon is much more comfortable voting...”present”.
I need to go shower. Someone just pissed all over my back and told me it was raining.
It all depends on the meaning of “is”. Zero is the same brand of scammer as the Klintons, he’s just not as bright.
I hate Idiots and a Idiot reading Lies is a bit much.
Welcome to Oceania.
Well the House leader (What’s his name .. Boner?) .. He has spoken and he approves of the speech.
(Just heard it on my local news)
Can anyone name one speech where this man has not lied?
“Can anyone name one speech where this man has not lied?”
Good Point and the answer is;Hell NO.
Let me be clear. I will not take a radical “middle course”, nor will I take a futile “middle course”. I will take a moderate, warm, politically correct, acceptable to every American, course — somewhat in the middle.
With the big screw up in Libya and now Afghanistan, I am surprised that we haven’t had at least one high profile resignation by a general. Is it just politics for them too?
