Works for me. Mine begins with 001. My wife got hers in Mass and it starts with 018.
The SSN prefix does not tell you where someone lived. It tells you in which state the office that issued the SSN was located.
Works for me too.
Gee, why doesn’t it work for our fearless leader????
What you say is true. Do you find it significant in some way, or are you just being pedantic?

Why would he get it in Ct if he was living elsewhere? WHEN was it issued?
Was the applicant a visitor or from Mars?
Thanks for the Chart!!
When I tried to post Chart each line posted as Horizontal reading in Vertical list so it was not cottect.
Thank you!!
Works OK for me.
did not work for me - i was born in NYC [Queens]
But both sides of my family were from indiana - which is what my SSN indicates.
what can be deduced?
Who applied for your SS# and where were they when they applied for it?
Doesn’t work for me.....also depends on when a SS# was requested. Remember not until the late 80’s were you required to get a SS# at birth. I did not get a number until I was 16 b/c I wanted to get a job....
There must be some connection to Ct. Maybe one that is preferred undiscovered?
the chart indicates Indiana for me - but i was born in nyc. my connection to indiana is that ALL of my family was from IN.
wonder what 0zero’s connection to CT is/was?
Hellifino - that was a loooong time ago. Some living elders still and will ask in a few weeks at reunion....
well who was in ct that would have/could have applied on his behalf?
Saudi consulate? /just a WAG
This chart shows a mismatch for the # and the State for my youngest child.
It doesn’t matter to those who worship him. He can do no wrong.
I’m betting somebody in Indiana was connected to your application. If the completed application was submitted in Indiana, either in person or by mail, you would have an Indiana SS#.
