A follow-up on long-term effects would be good.

The governmental guidelines of the past, 9 to 11 servings of grains per day in addition to 3 fruit servings per day has created the type 2 diabetes epidemic. It was insane.
I have been preaching this sermon for the last two years.
Hallelujah, finally the truth.

A follow-up on long-term effects would be good.I have been on the Atkins diet since November of 1999. I guess that is pretty long-term. I had blood work done monthly for 6 months a year ago or so, and all levels were good. One month, I had a spike in triglycerides, but that was due to a cheat weekend. :) So, yeah, I can attest to the fact that the diet works, and it is NOT DANGEROUS. At least, not for me.
