No, no crime in the generous act of "sharing himself," no. Maybe he hired the attorney to figure out the best way to get out of this little pickle. If he does report this to the Feds, if he did actually send the photo, at that point he would have committed a crime (false report). If he does NOT report the hack job, he is obviously lying.

If Weiner did this, how is it different from the Republican Chris Lee of NY-26 (recall the special election that the GOP whiffed last week), who resigned shortly after joining the House because of some shirtless pictures on Craig's List?

Shouldn't Weiner be held to the same New York standard?

Republican NY Congressman and risque pictures = resign?

Democrat NY Congressman and risque pictures = don't resign?

No crime. There wasn't one when Chris Lee sent that shirtless photo either, but he resigned -- quickly -- because Boehner knew that the media would seize upon the story like a dog with a bone because it involved a Republican. This one involves a democrat. In the interest of equal treatment, we should force the media into playing dog to the bone Weiner has thrown them, too.

I can just hear the pleadings in the courtroom now;

Your honor, there was no crime ! The young college girl wasn't threatened with a weapon. And based on the photo evidence, I'd say Weiner's weiner is more of a nuisance.
