If Weiner did this, how is it different from the Republican Chris Lee of NY-26 (recall the special election that the GOP whiffed last week), who resigned shortly after joining the House because of some shirtless pictures on Craig's List?

Shouldn't Weiner be held to the same New York standard?

Republican NY Congressman and risque pictures = resign?

Democrat NY Congressman and risque pictures = don't resign?

He should resign out of sheer stupidity.

"Hell, man, Even Ah didn't take pictures! What is with these guys filmin' their dangles and makin' all this evidence? Ya can't deny deny deny if the world has seen your Junior in action!! Edwards, Weiner, you guys are amateurs and fools!"

Yes. Weiner won't resign, but if it is determined that he indeed did post the picture (which would mean he lied about a hacker doing it) and the reports about him following two young ladies' (one underage) twitter accounts, his reputation will take a big hit and he will be a laughing stock. Those are not positive outcomes for a politician who wants to be taken seriously.

Don't see any illegality yet, but he must be afraid of a civil suit (sexual harassment?) if he's getting all lawyered up.
