A strange aspect of the Weinergate scandal is the LACK of any info about it on the Drudge Report. This is much too juicy of a scandal for Drudge to ignore. Therefore, I am guessing that Drudge is sitting on a big scoop which will break soon. Perhaps tomorrow.
Anthony Weiner might think he can ride this out by hiding behind the advice of counsel to write it off as a prank but the Drudge scoop could put too much heat on him.
It's going to be an interesting few days ahead. Oh, and don't forget we are sure to hear the input of Rush and Laura Ingraham on this as well.
Democrat NY Congressman and risque pictures = don't resign?
Yes. Weiner won't resign, but if it is determined that he indeed did post the picture (which would mean he lied about a hacker doing it) and the reports about him following two young ladies' (one underage) twitter accounts, his reputation will take a big hit and he will be a laughing stock. Those are not positive outcomes for a politician who wants to be taken seriously.
Don't see any illegality yet, but he must be afraid of a civil suit (sexual harassment?) if he's getting all lawyered up.
Then he would be moving into Mark Foley territory. Setting aside the gay aspect, Foley also sent emails to pages, but didn't reach out until they were of age.
If this is true, it could be too much scandal for Pelosi Democrats to wash away. All we have to do is throw Foley back at them and watch their reactions.

No Wieners on Drudge.
Maybe Drudge has lost his ability to ferret out the story.
