Why’s does this vanity remind me somewhat of Dialectical Materialism and Das Kapital? The worker/donor is not getting their fair share, the owners of the means of production add no value, have no lasting claim, ... Or some gobbled-goop like that. I hated that class, and the female instructors pit hair too.

“I played a part in the grassroots effort to throw Bob Bennett out of office, and hope soon to do the same to Orrin Hatch. “
Would you mind if people joined your effort with a view toward defending and keeping Orrin Hatch or at least seeing that someone with views similar to his is his replacement? In other words, people who join the effort and undermine it?

I'm not sure what is getting zotted that got your attention, nor do I particularly care. FR as a site meets my needs. FR meets America's needs. FR is JimRob's, not mine, and if I don't like it or want to air views that he does not welcome, I can go elsewhere. There are many reasons that Sarah didn't go the way of Barry Goldwater, Robert Bork, and others that the far left fringe decided to demonize; it wasn't just JimRob and FR but they were major factors. There are many reasons that Obama with a compliant socialist congress under Pelosi wasn't able to do even more damage to America; it wasn't just JimRob and FR but they were major factors. I have no doubt that there are views I want to hear that don't get aired on FR because they don't interest our host, but he is our host. I'll go elsewhere when I want to discuss those topics or views.
Now, if the druggie/tyrant in our White House tried the same stunt, that is a totally different story. Our rights give us specific legal protections against government overreach. JimRob is not our government (unfortunately), so our First Amendment does not limit his control over his web site. Note to JimRob: Thank you for being a great host and a great American; my kids will grow up in a better and freer country because of you and your site.

My membership date is actually one and a half years earlier than the November 1999 date shown. (Had to re-enlist because of computer and email trouble Yeah, a lot of people here at FR come up with similar explanations. Personally, it shouldn't matter a bit. It's what you say not when you found this place.
That said, Mr. Robinson is free to control his site as he wishes. However, I think he does have tolerance for opposing views, there are just some basic crimes against nature (abortion) and egregious political behavior that do not have to be tolerated on a private forum (RINOs). If you don't like it, you can go to another forum and start your signup date all over again.

So, you live in Utah, but you “think Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman are shifty weasels.” And yet you take offense that Jim Robinson doesn’t want leftists promoted on his site. Why am I having a hard time believing you’re being honest about this?

Certainly speech is free. Good (even heated) discussion, in my experience, has always been welcome here. But, this is a conservative forum. That's why we like it here. We don't want it messed up. Peddling non-conservative ideals and sales pitches is not welcome (JimRob said so). Folks who want to sell atheism, baby murder, internationalism, socialism, rino-ism, etc, etc, have never been "welcome" -- they've been "tolerated" in the hope they can be reformed and become truly welcome. But if they cross the line, they get the ZOT. It seems simple, logical, and appropriate to me ...

"One of this site's primary pillars is the Bill of Rights which calls for Freedom of Speech..." It also calls for the Freedom of Association. We don't want to associate with child killers and gay activists or their promoters/enablers. That's why we meet here.

You have clearly shown that as a guest, you consider yourself superior to the owner. That is a false belief; JR can run this place anyhowever he wants, and you can either accept that or get out.

Dr. Zzizx,
Jim Robinson views are similar to mine. If I didn't agree with what he's stated, I would have left, its just that simple.
The sad thing is that there are so many limp wrist republicans or some so called conservatives that cave towards social pressures. You can find a dozen or so of those kinds of sites on the net. If that's the kind of person you are, go to those sites.

BTW, you’ve been around long enough to know that vanities are frowned upon as a general rule (there are exceptions, of course, but only for things that add specific value). I see no reasons why your concerns should not have been posted in the relevant existing thread.

Once JimRob started taking YOUR money, it became YOUR site. YOU provide the content, YOU provide the financing. Without YOU, Jim would be a lonely guy staring at a monitor in his den.
No my contributions are a fee for service. When someone does yard work at your house you don't own his bulldozer just because you paid for its use. We pay to use Jim's site. But it remains now and until he sells it, his site. GET IT!
