Fans are not being "Punk'd." Ashton Kutcher will replace Charlie Sheen on "Two and a Half Men".

So, I guess they’ll rename it “One Man and Two Half Men”.

I’ll be interested to see how he gets weaved into the story.
I presume he won’t just be a replacement Charlie the way they replaced Dick York with Dick Seargent on Bewitched and hoped nobody would notice.
I assume he’ll be a new character...will they kill Charlie off? Will Kutcher play some long lost illegitimate son of Charlies or perhaps a cousin of Charlie and Alan?

i don’t get it. Is the new guy going to play the same character as the old guy? That’ll never work.

Not a big Kutcher fan and the “half” man of the title isn’t cute anymore.
Time to end the series gracefully.

I wonder how much his “old” lady paid to get him the part?
“He would be *perfect* for the role. He is smart, and funny, and has a really big... er, talent! So what are we looking at? $10m? $20m?”

How old is the half-man? About 30?

Ashton Kutcher?
Isn't he Demi Moore's boy toy?
Just curious since I no longer can keep up with the coming and goings in Hollywood.

The limiting factor on this show would not be the two fully grown leads, but Angus T. Jones, the juvenile actor. He was 10 years old when the series started in 2003. He'll be 18 in October. Sitcoms generally have a life expectancy of 7 years. If it runs longer than that, you would probably want characters who don't age out of their roles.

Alan finally kills Charlie. One wisecrack too many and Alan splits his skull.
Realizing that if they tell the authorities about the crime they will lose the Malibu beach home, the vehicles, the income, etc., both Jake and Berta agree to keep Alan's crime a secret.
Wacky P.I. Michael Kelso (Kutcher), having relocated to southern California, is convinced Charlie was murdered. He repeatedly shows up at the house unannounced in various disguises hoping to get a confession.
The show is cancelled midway through the first episode.

My guess is that they’ll have Charlie enter the Witness Protection Program after he sleeps with some mobster’s wife. Ashton Kutcher will show up as a “cousin” - similar to “Three’s Company”. when Suzanne Somers’s character “Chrissy” was replaced by her cousin “Cindy” (Jenilee Harrison) when Somers left the show after a contract dispute. It doesn’t matter....this isn’t going to work anyway.
