LONDON The eye-popping hat worn by Princess Beatrice at Britain's royal wedding is to be auctioned to raise money for charity, Buckingham Palace said Thursday.
The famous creation which some said looked like antlers_ will be sold on eBay with the proceeds to go to the charities UNICEF and Children in Crisis.
The hat was the handiwork of Britain's leading milliner, Philip Treacy, who designed many of the ladies' hats worn at the April 29 nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The hat isn't on eBay yet, but a "Princess Beatrice Style Royal Wedding Paper Costume Hat" is currently listed at $9.99.

The eBay ad copy:
"Capture the 'royal style' in this suave paper hat guaranteed to amaze strangers and send rivals into fits of jealous rage. Mailed flat; does not include half of a woman's head as depicted. Hand-constructed and ready to flaunt. Comes with a generous length of ribbon which attaches fabulousness to head as pictured. Waggles a bit when you strut."
Guy has a good sense of humor.

frankly, I don’t blame her,. if someone inflicted a hat like that on me, I’d be looking to get rid of it, too.

Call me old fashion, but I don't know when this eye makeup to make yourself look like a raccoon became so popular.
I haven't seen it on one woman that I thought looked attractive. Unfortunately I must be in a minority because I see more and more of it.
To: Red in Blue PA
You’re right. I couldn’t see any attractiveness. The first thing she needs to do is remove a lot of her makeup. She has attractive parents so I’m not surprised that she could be attractive. She doesn’t have good taste, though.
