Taco Bell fans will soon be bidding goodbye to one of the crunchy favorites from a popular taco chain. The beefy burrito is featured in the $5 buck boxes, but soon will be replaced.
Taco Bell fans will be disappointed. The Official Taco Bell Facebook page launched a statement today that the Beefy Crunch Burrito will be soon leaving their menu. "The Beefy Crunch Burrito is going away!" said the official Taco Bell social media page."Experience it before it becomes a part of Taco Bell legend." Taco Bell servers more than 36 million customers each week at over 5,000 restaurants in the United States. That's about 2 billion tacos, and a whopping 1 million burritos of various varieties.
The Beefy crunch burrito, which includes seasoned taco meat, sour cream, and hot Fritos, was often sold in Taco Bells' $5 Buck Boxes along with the Crunchwrap Supreme, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists and a ice-cold soda. Beefy crunch fans are already posting comments about their wish for the item to stay. Over 1,355 fans have left their comments on the announcement so far after Taco Bell broke the news just two hours ago.
Facebook user David Miligi writes, "I guess I'll just have to put Fritos in my burrito myself." Shelby Salinas, too, will quite certianally miss the Beefy crunch when she writes, "They have these in Heaven right?"
Not all taco fans are miffed by the Beefy Crunch's departure. Many fans commented there has been many items removed from the menu, only to make their way back for a limited time.
Taco Bell did not release why the crunchy burrito will be removed or when, but instead promised many more items in the future.
“Taco Bell did not release why the crunchy burrito will be removed . . .”
My guess would be Michelle Obama.
I can’t boycott them as I don’t patronize the place to begin with.
It’ll probably become Taco Bell’s McRib, habitually appearing and disappearing from the menu.
Dang! One of the few things I like at Taco Bell.
We must act now before it’s too late!
I like their volcano nachos and tacos.I hope they stay in the menu.
Personally, I can't stand anything from that dump.
I liked the cantina tacos (carnitas). They didn’t last long at all. Too much real meat I suppose.
Here in mexifornia, I like Taco Bell and that was one of the cheapest stuff you could buy on their menu. Just dont get rid of the mexican pizza, which is really good.
Hopefully they bring back the cheesy gordita crunch. The single greatest piece of fast food ever made.
Sometimes their food does not agree with me;I got sick a while back.I took a nap and woke up with horrible indigestion. The food wasn’t bad,it’s just that there was so much grease.I know this is really gross, but when I threw up,the remnants of the lettuce and the meat were separated because of the grease.
I miss their green chili sauce. For some reason a lot of the TB’s kept it behind the counter and you had to know to ask for it, but it was really good...comprable to a lot of homemeade salsa verdes.
My guess is the recent problem with Taco Bell’s using a “beef-like substance.”
They’re probably not allowed to use the “B” word in their marketing.

I loved that!
“Textured vegetable protein crunch burrito” didn’t do well in the focus groups.
But don’t get between her and a tamale.
(or me and a steak chalupa)
I can think of a variety of possible reasons for this “decision” and any (or even all) may apply:
Beef prices continue to skyrocket (not that you get much of the reconstituted/dehydrated beef-like product on one of these atrocities they pawn off as food).
The Leftist/Fat-freaks (Michelle isn’t unique in this regard - Mike Huckabee is one of these as well) who feel they have the right to take food out of your mouth and dictate what you can and cannot buy (with your own hard-earned money) or consume.
Publicity stunt
Stupidity
And as I said - any possible combination of the above.
