The big news of the day is the death and burial at sea of Osama bin Laden. Thank you, President Bush and the US military (including my son and future son-in-law) who made this day happen. Other news is the nuptials of William and Catherine in Great Britain. May God bless their union and draw them close to Him in Jesus Christ. Alabama (my state) and other southeast states continue the task of digging out and rebuilding. A massive effort is underway with able bodies and supplies needed.
Feeding the farm dudes is all I am up to doing. There were 5 of them today,, actually 4 plus a youngin’ who can out eat them all.

Sis's big consern was that 'we boys' do something for mom on Mother's day.
So we will. My brother will be up at 0-dark-thirty to drive out to pick me up, drive down to pick Mom up, drive back up to the little church that Mom favors. My poor brother will spend most of his day tomorrow driving.
But we'll take her to church. And I will appreciate every moment of it. Even if she gets a little confused.
Because I don't have that many more Mother's Days left.
My daughters, of course, will call me and wish me a happy mother's day. They do every year, in a military kind of way.
And my brother assures me that he carries a fire extinguisher in case something untoward happens when I step into a church in a suit and tie.

Till, I don’t think he could have survived that long on a “portable” dialysis machine. If I ever can get hold of my daughter - who has worked in the kidney dialysis field for 12 years - I’m going to ask her how long her patients can survive on dialysis. I don’t think it is long term - like Osama supposedly survived.
That’s why I’m not sold on them having gotten him. I think he passed on and was buried long ago. In a way, I hope I’m really proven wrong!
Good Morning Everyone! I am going to go pick up my 93 y.o. Mother today, and bring her home with me. She lives about 20 miles away. The farmers will be working today, so I will be cooking. We will celebrate Mother’s Day for ME after the crops are all planted.

Beautiful day shaping up here. I am off to squeeze some fresh oranges into juice for my bride. She does love her fresh orange juice. Mass this morning and then a quick breakfast of french toast and hickory smoked bacon.
Tonight for dinner it will be champagne, Fillet Mignon, fresh green beans, potatoes and onions sauteed in butter and dill, and fresh strawberries and custard. I really love cooking, especially on these blessed days.

Happy Mothers Day from the terribly dry and windy Eastern New Mexico. We are off to Church & then all out to eat for Mothers Day lunch. My oldest daughter & 3 children, son wife & 2 children all live here so days such as today are always fun. Dolli what I would give for some mist & fog.
